The southern border crisis has been raging for years now. But there’s a new problem that has Joe Biden panicking.

And the White House is having an emergency meeting as illegals are now busting through the northern border.

As the 2024 presidential election looms, a surge of illegal immigrants from India is making its way across the U.S.’s northern border at an alarming rate.

The U.S.-Canada border has become a favored passage for illegal migrants due to its numerous accessible entry points and lack of physical barriers, unlike the southern border. Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shows a staggering increase in Indian migrants crossing the northern border, with 1,872 Border Patrol apprehensions in fiscal year 2023 compared to merely 42 in fiscal year 2021, marking a 4357% rise.

Illegal immigration has become a contentious issue among voters, particularly as border encounters have surged during the Biden administration. Former President Donald Trump has pledged to address illegal immigration should he win re-election.

Various factors drive Indian migrants to enter the U.S., including fear of prosecution in their home country and economic opportunities. Many migrants hail from affluent regions like Gujarat and Punjab, and even the steep cost of travel, which can exceed $50,000, is within their means, as per Devesh Kapur, director of Asia Programs at Johns Hopkins University.

Some Indians prefer the U.S.-Canada border route over the southern border due to its perceived speed and safety. Unlike the southern border, the northern one offers a vast expanse without obstacles like fences or walls.

Moreover, migrants can enter Canada without a visa and then journey southward into the U.S. This route allows them to bypass the complexities of traveling north to the U.S.-Mexico border, as noted by the Center for Immigration Studies.

According to Shinder Purewal, a political scientist at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, more individuals are choosing to enter Canada and then proceed to the U.S. due to better economic prospects and job opportunities.

Illegal immigration through both the northern and southern borders has surged under the Biden administration. CBP data shows a significant increase in migrant encounters from fiscal year 2021 to 2023, and the trend continues into 2024, with nearly a million encounters recorded in the first five months of the year.

Reports from the Heritage Foundation suggest that more than 10 million illegal immigrants have violated the law to enter the United States in the three years of Joe Biden’s tenure as president so far. That’s more than three million a year.

Jessica Vaughan, a top spokesperson for the Center for Immigration Studies, said that the Joe Biden administration is continuing to throw money at the immigration crisis ineffectively and is only making it worse.

“The cost to taxpayers of providing services to the illegal migrants President Biden has waved into the country has already run into the tens of billions of dollars, and promises to balloon even higher the longer the migrants remain the in [sic] country. The short-term costs include expenditures for the migrants to be processed and transported to their destinations, and then for shelter, health care, schooling, criminal justice costs, and more,” Jessica Vaughan shared in a press release.

Over at the Immigration Reform Law Institute, their Director of investigations Matt O’Brien has said that the Biden administration is being played by illegal criminals who know how to abuse the obvious bad border policies of the Biden administration.

“In essence, what asylum seekers who advance these types of asylum requests are doing is asking the Immigration Courts of the United States to function as the district courts for Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, etc. This is ridiculous. It undermines the integrity of the Immigration Courts and makes a mockery of our legal system. Domestic violence and gang crime are a scourge upon all the societies where they occur. However, they are crimes that should be handled under the domestic law of the territories where they occur,” Mr. O’Brien shared with reporters.

Mr. O’Brien and Mrs. Vaughan appeared before Congress in February to testify to the worsening illegal immigration crisis that is, in their opinion, significantly attributable to Joe Biden directly.
