The Trump shooting was an embarrassing failure. The Secret Service should be ashamed.
And now a U.S. Senator has gone rogue to share these stunning details about his Secret Service debriefing.
The U.S. Senate was recently given a debriefing from the Secret Service after Congress has been demanding answers from the agency for some critical mistakes that were made on the day of the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. Let’s just say the briefing didn’t clear up anything at all, according to the reports.
One U.S Senator, Mr. Roger Marshall, has shared with reporters discontent with how the meeting went. He said that the entirety of the meeting could have been just a couple minutes rather than the hour-long meeting it became. Likely because it was full of filler to skirt away their responsibility for the tragedy that saw an American firefighter lose his life.
Senator Roger Marshall Criticizes Secret Service Briefing on Trump Assassination Attempt
Senator Roger Marshall, R-Kan., has openly criticized the Secret Service’s recent briefing to senators regarding the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, labeling it as “completely worthless.”
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Marshall expressed his frustration, stating that the information presented could have been summarized “in two minutes,” despite the briefing taking an hour. This briefing came just days after the incident at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was injured, a spectator was killed, and two others were hospitalized.
Marshall noted that despite the Secret Service administrator taking accountability, she failed to acknowledge a significant systemic failure. “What we’ve discovered is that there is a huge, cultural issue within the Secret Service,” he alleged, criticizing the agency’s focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion over its core mission.
The Kansas Republican also highlighted a reduction in the number of questions allowed during agency and department briefings under Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. “It seems like there’s less questions each time,” he observed. During the recent briefing, only four senators were permitted to ask questions, according to another senator who spoke with Fox News Digital. Marshall pointed out that the information provided was so minimal that there was nothing new beyond what had already been reported in the news.
Marshall also cast doubt on the competency of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, suggesting that she might not fully understand “the details of the investigation.” He explained that Cheatle had very few comments during the briefing, passing the discussion to the assistant director who described the investigation.
Commenting on whether the assassination attempt was being taken seriously, Marshall remarked, “I think they’d like to take it seriously, but they’re incompetent.”
In response, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi issued a statement to Fox News Digital, asserting the importance of continuity of operations during critical incidents. He emphasized that Director Cheatle is committed to transparency and leading the agency through both the internal investigation and the implementation of lessons learned from these reviews. Guglielmi affirmed that Cheatle has no intention of stepping down and deeply respects members of Congress.
New Details Continue to Make Matters Worse and Worse
A new report from U.S. Senator Josh Hawley details that whistleblowers have informed him that the vast majority of agents who were tasked with Trump’s security on the day of the shooting were not even Secret Service agents, but instead just untrained generic Department of Homeland Security employees.

That would seem to explain why several of the agents seemed to have no idea what to do, but it doesn’t explain everything that went wrong that day and Americans still deserve answers to those questions. These debriefings with the Senate did not do that one bit.
One of the most laughable and ridiculous claims that no one is buying from the Secret Service is that they didn’t secure the roof the shooter posted up on because the slant on the roof made it unsafe for agents. It wasn’t unsafe for the shooter, of course.
NEW: Secret Service director Kim Cheatle, good friend of Jill Biden and the new face of America's competency crisis, didn't post snipers on the roof where Trump was shot at because it was a sloped roof and she was afraid someone might slip and fall.

No matter which way you slice this, the Secret Service still has major questions to answer or Americans are not going to be happy with how this investigation will end.
