Donald Trump is taking over the political world by storm. Even those who were once against him are now joining his side.

And the election has been turned upside down as a former 2024 presidential candidate is set to team up with Trump.

Trump Signals Role for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in His Potential Administration

Former President Donald Trump announced last Friday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will have a role in his administration if he wins back the White House in 2024. The revelation came during an interview with Fox & Friends, where Trump, 78, discussed potential candidates for top positions in his prospective administration.

When asked specifically about Kennedy’s involvement, Trump confirmed, “He’s going to be a part of it.” He elaborated, praising Kennedy’s commitment to public health and environmental issues. “He had a big impact because he’s very much into women’s health and health, and he’s very much into the environment, which a lot of people like. People really like him,” Trump added.

Kennedy, 70, had earlier sparked speculation about a future role in Trump’s administration when he tweeted a video suggesting he could take on a position at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

In the video, he pledged to overhaul the current agricultural system, saying, “When @realDonaldTrump gets me inside the USDA, we’re going to give farmers an off-ramp from the current system that destroys soil, makes people sick, and harms family farms.”

Kennedy continued his call to action, stating, “When Donald Trump gets me inside the building I’m standing outside of right now, it won’t be this way anymore. American agriculture will come roaring back, and so will American health.”

The potential collaboration between the former independent presidential candidate and Trump is not entirely unexpected. Kennedy officially ended his own campaign back in August and has since publicly endorsed Trump.

His frequent suggestions about a future role in the administration have fueled speculation that he could be given a key position if Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

Despite Kennedy’s vocal support for Trump, his name has been entangled in recent controversies.

New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi recently admitted to having a “personal relationship” with Kennedy after interviewing him for a profile last year.

The ensuing scandal has drawn significant media attention and led to Nuzzi being placed on leave from the publication.

Given these controversies, it remains unlikely that Kennedy will be nominated for a cabinet position, which would require Senate approval.

However, Trump could create a new role for Kennedy, much like President Biden did when he appointed former Secretary of State John Kerry as special presidential envoy for climate.

The idea of bringing a member of the Kennedy dynasty into a Republican administration has raised eyebrows, but it also highlights the unconventional alliances that have become a hallmark of Trump’s political approach.

As the 2024 election approaches, it remains to be seen what specific role Kennedy might take on if Trump returns to the Oval Office.
