Trump Shares Video Mocking Democrats’ Defense of Biden’s Mental Fitness
President-elect Donald Trump has taken aim at Democrats with a biting video compilation showcasing their repeated defense of President Joe Biden’s mental sharpness, sharing it shortly after a veteran journalist condemned efforts to conceal what she called his “obvious cognitive decline.”
The nearly three-minute-long highlight reel — set to the playful tones of the Wii theme music — was posted just hours after CBS News reporter Jan Crawford accused the media of covering up Biden’s decline until it became undeniable during his debate performances.
The video opens with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who appears baffled by the notion that anyone would question Biden’s mental fitness.
“Oh my gosh! He’s the President of the United States! I can’t even keep up with him,” said Jean-Pierre, as part of her frequent assertions that the president was in better mental shape than ever.
From there, the video cuts to a series of statements from prominent Democrats, including Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, all offering unwavering praise for Biden’s mental abilities.
The clips are interspersed with polling data that paints a stark contrast, revealing that 68% of Americans believe Biden is “too old” to serve another term as president. First Lady Jill Biden is also featured prominently, passionately defending her husband during a segment on The View.
“You’re gonna see how smart he is, and the experience he has,” she tells the hosts. In another clip, she emphasizes, “I think his age is an asset. He’s wise, he has wisdom, he has experience.”
The montage also includes glowing endorsements from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and congressmen Jamie Raskin and Jim Clyburn, among others, all of whom praise Biden’s intellect and capability.
Despite the critical tone of the video, Trump shared it without adding his own commentary. Its timing, however, aligns closely with Crawford’s sharp criticism of Biden and his advisors.
During her remarks, Crawford referenced a recent Wall Street Journal report detailing how White House aides allegedly worked to shield the 82-year-old president from extensive public scrutiny, forming a protective circle to limit his in-person interactions.
“And yet he insisted that he could still run for president,” Crawford noted. “We should have much more forcefully questioned whether he was fit for office for another four years, which could have led to a primary for the Democrats.”
