President Trump is already hard at work. That has his enemies on edge.

And now Donald Trump’s put the world on notice with an eyebrow-raising declaration on Fox News.

Trump Unveils Energy Agenda: Prioritizing American Oil, Gas, and Tariffs

In a recent interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, President Donald Trump shared his vision for the future of American energy, emphasizing the country’s vast potential to become a global energy powerhouse. He went over plans to significantly boost oil and gas production, claiming that the U.S. could “supply the whole world with energy for hundreds of years.” This statement just goes to show Trump’s core objective of positioning the U.S. as an energy leader while prioritizing domestic resources.

Since taking office, President Trump has swiftly signed multiple executive orders that emphasize his commitment to energy independence. Among these actions is a declaration of a national energy emergency, designed to accelerate the production of domestic energy resources. During his Fox News interview, Trump made it clear that the U.S. holds more oil and gas than any other nation, and he envisions even greater reserves in the future. “We have more oil and gas than any other country, and we’re going to have more,” he told Hannity, signaling his administration’s ambition to unlock further potential in energy production.

Trump’s energy plan includes unlocking Alaska’s oil-rich Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), a move that stands in stark contrast to the policies of former President Joe Biden, who restricted oil and gas leases in the region. The president believes ANWR has vast untapped potential, comparing it to the oil fields of Saudi Arabia. “It could be as big or bigger than Saudi Arabia,” Trump said, underscoring his belief that this area could play a pivotal role in meeting global energy demands.

It’s U.S. vs. China In The War To Be The Top Economy

Trump took the opportunity to contrast the U.S. with China, particularly in terms of oil and gas production. While the U.S. has vast reserves, China must import the majority of its energy. “It’s a great asset because China does not have that. They have to go out the old-fashioned way and buy it,” Trump pointed out. He further suggested that increasing American energy production could contribute to the nation’s economic wealth, with energy serving as a primary driver. “We’re going to become a wealthy country again — and energy is going to lead the way,” Trump stated.

In addition to his energy agenda, Trump discussed plans to impose tariffs on several countries. He warned that a 25 percent tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico would take effect on February 1, with a further 10 percent tariff on Chinese products. Trump also expressed frustration with the European Union, claiming they “treat us very, very badly” and suggested that the U.S. may impose tariffs on European goods as well. His approach includes holding Russia accountable for its actions in Ukraine, stating that additional tariffs could be imposed on Russia if President Vladimir Putin does not agree to a truce.

A significant aspect of Trump’s energy strategy involves reversing many of the green-energy policies introduced by the Biden administration. This includes Biden’s mandate to make 50 percent of new cars electric by 2030 in an effort to phase out gas-powered vehicles. Trump expressed his preference for natural gas, citing it as a cleaner, more powerful, and reliable energy source compared to wind and solar energy. “We don’t want windmills in this country,” Trump said, calling them “the most expensive” form of energy.

Trump also criticized large-scale solar installations, which he described as unsightly and inefficient. “You know what else people don’t like? Those massive solar fields built over land that cover ten miles by ten miles. I mean, they’re ridiculous,” he remarked. Additionally, he pointed out that many of the solar panels used in these fields are manufactured in China, furthering his argument against reliance on foreign products.

A Golden Age for America

As he took office, Trump promised to usher in what he called the “golden age of America,” a vision that includes not only energy independence but also policies aimed at curbing illegal immigration and rolling back diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives implemented by the previous administration. Trump’s recent executive actions, including those on energy, reflect his goals of economic growth and national self-sufficiency.

Through his aggressive stance on energy production and trade, as well as his rejection of certain green-energy policies, Trump continues to push for an America that leads globally in both energy and economic strength. Whether or not these strategies will bear fruit remains to be seen, but his focus on energy independence and economic revival is clear.
