Donald Trump is being attacked from all angles. But the radical Left is one of his biggest adversaries.
And this leading Democrat goes on a wild rampage while making a violent threat towards President Trump.
Hakeem Jeffries Under Fire for “Fight it in the Streets” Remark
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., is facing backlash from Republicans after vowing that Democrats would take their opposition to former President Donald Trump’s policies beyond legislative battles and into “the streets.”
During a press conference in Brooklyn on Friday, Jeffries criticized Trump’s federal funding freeze and his response to the recent aircraft collision in Washington, D.C. He framed the Democratic Party as a bulwark against what he described as the “extreme MAGA Republican agenda.”
“Right now, we’re going to keep focus on the need to look out for everyday New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are under assault by an extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is trying to cut taxes for billionaires, donors, and wealthy corporations and then stick New Yorkers and working class Americans across the country with the bill,” Jeffries stated.
“That’s not acceptable. We are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. We’re going to fight it in the streets,” he continued.

His choice of words quickly drew condemnation from House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., who called on Jeffries to retract his statement.
“House Minority Leader @hakeemjeffries should promptly apologize for his use of inflammatory and extreme rhetoric,” Emmer said on X. “President Trump and the Republicans are focused on uniting the country; Jeffries needs to stop trying to divide it.”

The White House also weighed in, with a senior official telling Fox News, “Hakeem Jeffries must apologize for this disgraceful call to violence.”
Jeffries also took the opportunity to highlight what he viewed as a major Democratic victory in halting Trump’s federal funding freeze.
“As was demonstrated this week, House Democrats, Senate Democrats, Democratic governors, and everyday Americans all across the country rose up in defiance as it relates to the illegal, unlawful, and extreme federal funding freeze that is part of the Republican rip-off agenda,” he said. “We fought it, we stopped it, and we will never surrender.”
The funding freeze, ordered earlier in the week by the Trump administration’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB), temporarily halted most federal spending while agencies reviewed expenditures. The White House later clarified that the freeze primarily targeted Leftist initiatives that Trump had previously opposed through executive orders.
However, a federal judge blocked the freeze, and shortly thereafter, the rescinding of the order took place.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later confirmed that while the freeze was lifted due to the court ruling, certain funding restrictions stemming from Trump’s executive actions remained in place.
At the time of writing, Jeffries has not yet addressed the controversy surrounding his remarks, but the uproar reflects the Left’s habit of being divisive as they face off against Donald Trump and the Republicans.
