Trump is making sweeping changes that are improving America. But Leftists aren’t thrilled.

And these blue states are concocting a devious plan to destroy Donald Trump’s agenda.

Trump’s Executive Orders Ignite a Battle Over Gender Ideology in Schools

Since taking office last month, President Donald Trump has wasted no time in challenging radical gender ideology in public schools. Through a series of executive orders, his administration is working to reshape the ideological foundation of education across the United States. While conservatives applaud these actions, deep blue states like California are already preparing to resist.

Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) school board President Sonja Shaw has been vocal about the looming battle ahead. “While I’m excited about what he’s doing, I also know in places like California and Colorado and other states, we have to armor up and fight harder than we ever have because they are going to push more state laws to diminish what Trump is saying and trying to do,” Shaw said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Shaw’s concerns stem from strong opposition within California’s education leadership. “I think this is an amazing step forward. But, you’ll see in California our Department of Ed, Tony Thurmond, our state superintendent, [Governor] Newsom, they’re all buckling down and saying they absolutely will not do that. They’re ‘protecting all students.’ They’re forgetting about the girls that have had injuries on sports teams and have had their opportunities ripped away.”

Shaw’s fight is personal. In 2023, state Attorney General Rob Bonta sued her district over a policy requiring staff to disclose to parents if their child expressed a “gender identity” that was different from their biological s*x. The state argued the policy went against students’ privacy rights and could put LGBTQ+ students at risk.

Trump’s latest executive orders directly challenge the Leftist stance on gender ideology and Title IX regulations enacted under the Biden administration. One of his first orders reversed Biden-era guidance that extended Title IX protections based on gender identity, mandating that federal agencies implement policies recognizing only biologically-defined male and female s*xes. Another order prohibits biological males from competing in female sports.

The administration is also urging lawmakers to pass the Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act, which would amend federal law to ensure student athletes compete based on their s*x at birth. Since federal law supersedes state policies, legal experts believe Trump’s directives could have sweeping implications for public education.

Kristen Waggoner, president and CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom, recently explained to Fox News Digital that affirming a biological definition of s*x could bring significant changes across the education system.

Shaw hopes that these executive orders will lead to federal intervention when state policies conflict with national mandates. Despite resistance from California leadership, conservative-led school districts like hers continue to push for parental rights, restrictions on Critical Race Theory (CRT), and policies that curb radical gender ideology.

With national test scores showing a decline in reading proficiency and stagnation in math, Shaw believes the focus should shift from political activism back to core educational priorities. She remains committed to the fight ahead.

“We still have to do the work here, and when our government – I call them the political cartel up there – doubles down on us, it’s almost, in a way, a gift, because then we have a choice. We know what they’re about, and we need to stop voting these people in and allowing the power that we’re giving them,” she stated.

Shaw emphasized the importance of voter participation, especially in California, where Trump garnered strong support but state leadership remains dominated by Leftist policies.

“In California, we had an extreme number of people coming out and voting for Trump. But then the majority elected the nonsense that’s up there in Sacramento. We have to start educating the moms, the dads, the grandmas and grandpas who – like myself a few years ago – were not involved in politics. This is why it matters for you to get to the polls. Take the time to mail in ballots…”

“We have an opportunity this next election. We need to do that. We can’t scream and ask for help from Trump if we’re not willing to do the groundwork.”

As the nation braces for the legal and political battles ahead, Trump’s executive orders have ignited a fierce national debate.

While conservatives celebrate the shift in policy, Leftist strongholds like California remain determined to fight back.

The coming months will reveal just how far-reaching these changes will be — and how effectively states will resist or comply. Hopefully for the nation’s sake, these blue states fail in their efforts to fight back against Trump’s administration.
