Vice President J.D. Vance isn’t mincing his words. He and Trump are putting America first.
That’s why J.D. Vance declared war on Mexican drug cartels with these shocking four words.
Vice President J.D. Vance delivered a strong message at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday, promising to eliminate the drug cartels that, he claimed, operated with impunity during the Biden administration. Vance stated that, under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the administration would continue its aggressive efforts against drug cartels and human traffickers at the U.S.-Mexico border. He emphasized the intention to “wage war” on these criminal organizations, ensuring they are driven out of the country.
Vance highlighted the Trump administration’s decision to designate cartels as “foreign terrorist organizations” as soon as they took office, a move based on the cartels’ involvement in smuggling lethal narcotics, violent criminals, and gangs into the U.S. “Well our message to the drug traffickers is get the hell out of our country, your free ride is over because President Trump is back in the Oval Office,” Vance declared. “You’re not welcome, you were never welcome according to the American people, but unfortunately you had President Joe Biden who allowed you to run free over the United States of America, and President Trump has said ‘you’re terrorist organizations, we’re gonna go after you, we’re gonna wage war on you and certainly we want you out of the United States of America and that’s an important message of course.’”
Vance also took aim at the Biden administration for the tragedies caused by illegal immigrants, particularly in cases where American families have lost loved ones. He called it “disgraceful” that under Biden’s watch, brutal k*llings like those of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin, who were m*rdered by illegal immigrants, were allowed to occur. He promised that this kind of violence would stop once Trump returned to the White House.
Under the Trump administration, arrests of illegal immigrants have dramatically outpaced those under Biden’s leadership, with mass deportations being carried out regularly. Among those arrested were notorious criminals like convicted child r*pist Edgar De La Cruz-Manzo, a Jordanian national with links to ISIS, as well as individuals connected to violent gangs such as MS-13 and Tren de Agua.
Trump’s tough stance extended beyond the U.S. border, with the administration pressuring Mexico and Canada to take stronger actions against illegal migration. This pressure included imposing a 25% tariff on both countries, which led to Mexico deploying 10,000 troops to the border and seizing nearly $40 million worth of methamphetamine.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum’s recent actions have further contributed to addressing the fentanyl crisis in the U.S. In the final year of Biden’s presidency, more than 21,000 pounds of fentanyl were seized at the southern border. Since Mexico deployed its National Guard on February 5, 2025, the country has seized nearly 5 tons of methamphetamine, 453 kilos of cocaine, and 55 kilos of fentanyl, as reported by CBS News. Additionally, the CIA has been using secret drones to track down fentanyl laboratories in Mexico, sharing intelligence with the Mexican government.
On the ground, Border Patrol is reporting significant reductions in illegal immigration. Border czar Tom Homan revealed that U.S. Border Patrol encountered only 229 illegal migrants across the southern border, a stark contrast to the average 11,000 daily crossings seen during Biden’s presidency. Homan previously warned that if cartels harmed Border Patrol agents, they would be eradicated “off the face of the earth.”

President Donald Trump signed an executive order late Wednesday aimed at ending the use of taxpayer funds for federal programs supporting illegal immigration and illegal aliens. The Trump administration emphasized that the goal of the order is to ensure taxpayer resources are focused on protecting the interests of American citizens, rather than those of illegal aliens.
Under the order, federal agencies are required to identify and eliminate any federally funded programs providing financial benefits to illegal aliens. Additionally, it seeks to prevent federal funds from supporting “sanctuary” policies.
The order states, “My Administration will uphold the rule of law, defend against the waste of hard-earned taxpayer resources, and protect benefits for American citizens in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans.”
A White House fact sheet further clarified, “President Trump is committed to safeguarding Federal public benefits for American citizens who are truly in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans.”
The Trump administration’s approach, from designating cartels as terrorist organizations to increasing pressure on neighboring countries and confronting the fentanyl crisis, just goes to show its commitment to border security and combating illegal immigration and its associated criminal activities.
