The vice president is supposed to be one of the president’s right hand men. Vance just showed why he’s equipped for that role.
And JD Vance has rushed to President Trump’s side for this urgent reason.
Vance Champions Trump’s Firm Stance on Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions
In a defense of President Donald Trump’s Iran policy, Vice President JD Vance took to X on Monday to counter what he called “crazy” accusations swirling online. His remarks aimed to clarify the administration’s position and dispel confusion surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities.
“Look, I’m seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there’s a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue,” Vance said in his post on X.
Vance emphasized Trump’s unwavering stance over the past decade: Iran must not acquire a nuclear weapon. He revealed that in recent months, Trump has pushed his foreign policy team to negotiate a deal to prevent Iran from enriching uranium—a critical step toward nuclear armament.
“The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment,” Vance stated, noting Trump’s insistence that compliance could come “the easy way or the ‘other’ way.”
Addressing online debates, Vance tackled confusion between “civilian nuclear power” and “uranium enrichment.” He explained that these are separate matters, as Iran could pursue civilian nuclear energy without enrichment, an option it has rejected.
Instead, Iran has enriched uranium to levels far exceeding civilian needs, violating its non-proliferation commitments under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). “They’ve been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the IAEA, which is hardly a rightwing organization,” Vance noted.
He challenged critics to justify Iran’s actions, pointing out the lack of compelling arguments for why Iran requires uranium enriched beyond civilian thresholds or why it disregards IAEA findings.
“It’s one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It’s another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity,” he said, highlighting Iran’s escalation toward weapons-grade uranium.
Vance praised Trump’s restraint, noting that the president has prioritized protecting American troops and citizens while keeping military options open.
“He may decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment,” Vance said, affirming that such decisions rest with Trump, whose focus remains on American interests.

First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that…

On Tuesday, Trump escalated his rhetoric on TRUTH Social, demanding Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” following Israel’s preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and leadership targets, which began five days earlier. The U.S. has bolstered its military presence in the Middle East and reportedly aided Israel in thwarting Iranian counterattacks.

Trump, who cut short his attendance at the G7 summit in Canada to return to Washington for a Situation Room briefing on Iran, issued a pointed warning. “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” he wrote on social media.
“He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (k*ll!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Trump also claimed that the U.S. and Israel maintain “complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” point to a strong military posture.
