Trump Commits to Declassifying Documents for FBI Conspiracy Probe

President Donald Trump vowed on Wednesday to release key intelligence documents to support a new investigation into alleged FBI misconduct aimed at influencing U.S. elections in favor of Democrats, as reported by Just the News. The inquiry will examine claims that the FBI and intelligence community manipulated narratives around Russian collusion and mishandled issues tied to Hillary Clinton’s email controversy to undermine Trump’s 2016 campaign and presidency. Trump promised to make public at least two classified documents previously kept under wraps.

“It was a disgrace what happened, what happened in 2016 and what happened in 2020. It’s a disgraceful situation,” Trump told Just The News. “And our voting has to be straightened out.”

One document is an annex from a review by former Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz on the FBI’s handling of Clinton’s email scandal. This annex allegedly indicates that then-FBI Director James Comey overlooked evidence of criminal activity by Clinton, who used a private email server as secretary of state to transmit sensitive government data, according to Just the News.

Another document, known as the “Clinton Plan Intelligence” from Special Counsel John Durham’s report, suggests U.S. intelligence believed Clinton authorized a 2016 scheme to create a false narrative linking Trump to Russia, per Just the News. Federal investigations into Trump’s alleged Russian ties, initiated under President Barack Obama, were later found to be based on opposition research funded by Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Durham’s 2023 report concluded the probe was driven by flawed intelligence and political motives.

Trump also endorsed the idea of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted s*x offender. The Department of Justice recently released a memo stating there was no “credible evidence” that Epstein maintained a client list, blackmailed public figures, or died suspiciously, according to Just the News.

“They ought to look into the Jeffrey Epstein hoax too, because that’s another hoax that’s frankly, put out by the Democrats pushing, pushing the Republicans, and put out by the Democrats,” Trump told Just the News. “They’ve already looked at it, and they are looking at it, and I think all they have to do is put out anything credible.”

Trump raised concerns that former intelligence officials might have altered Epstein-related records to shield Democrats or target Republicans, Just the News reported. He referenced the Steele dossier, a discredited document that fueled Trump-Russia allegations, as an example of fabricated intelligence.

“I can imagine what they put into files, just like they did with the others. I mean, the Steele dossier was a total fake, right? It took two years to figure that out,” Trump told the outlet. “So I would imagine if they were run by (former FBI director) Chris Wray and they were run by Comey, and because it was actually even before that administration, they’ve been running these files, and so much of the things that we found were fake.”

Hillary Clinton Scandals and Public Perception of Trustworthiness

Hillary Clinton has been a polarizing figure in American politics, with several controversies shaping public opinion about her trustworthiness. The private email server scandal, which emerged during her tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, remains one of the most significant. Clinton used a private server for official communications, raising concerns about the security of classified information. The FBI investigated but concluded in 2016 that no charges were warranted, though then-Director James Comey called her actions “extremely careless.” Critics argued this reflected a lack of transparency and accountability, fueling distrust among voters.

The 2016 Trump-Russia collusion narrative, later tied to Clinton’s campaign through the Steele dossier, further eroded her credibility. Special Counsel John Durham’s 2023 report revealed that the dossier, funded by Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, contained unverified and uncorroborated information. The report suggested Clinton’s team played a role in promoting the narrative to damage Trump’s campaign, leading many to question her ethics and integrity.

Clinton’s ties to other controversies, such as the Benghazi attack in 2012, have also contributed to her untrustworthy image. As secretary of state, she faced scrutiny over the State Department’s response to the attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya, which k*xlled four Americans. Investigations found no direct wrongdoing, but critics accused Clinton of downplaying security failures, further damaging her reputation.

The Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit established by Hillary and Bill Clinton, has also drawn suspicion. Reports of foreign donations to the foundation during Clinton’s time as secretary of state raised questions about potential conflicts of interest. While no definitive evidence of quid pro quo emerged, the perception of impropriety lingered, with many Americans viewing the foundation as a vehicle for personal gain.

Public opinion polls consistently show significant distrust of Clinton. A 2016 Quinnipiac University poll found that 57% of voters viewed her as “not honest and trustworthy,” compared to 38% who felt she was. A 2020 Rasmussen Reports survey indicated that 52% of Americans believed Clinton should have faced legal consequences for her email practices, reflecting lingering skepticism about her actions.

More recent data is sparse, but a 2023 YouGov poll revealed that only 30% of Americans viewed Clinton favorably, while 58% held an unfavorable opinion. This suggests that distrust persists, driven by her long history of controversies. The email scandal, Russia collusion narrative, Benghazi, and the Clinton Foundation have cemented a perception among many that Clinton prioritizes personal and political gain over transparency.

The Epstein case, while not directly tied to Clinton, has also been linked to her in public discourse due to Bill Clinton’s documented association with the disgraced financier. Trump’s comments about a special prosecutor investigating Epstein’s network have reignited speculation, though no concrete evidence connects Hillary Clinton to Epstein’s crimes. Nonetheless, these associations amplify the narrative of untrustworthiness that has followed her for decades.
