Joe Biden can’t escape controversy at this point. It surrounds him everywhere he goes.
And the Biden family is completely rattled because of this scandalous photo that millions have seen.
Ashley Biden’s Divorce Filing Ignites Social Media Buzz
Ashley Biden, daughter of former President Joe Biden, has filed for divorce from Dr. Howard Krein, her husband of 13 years, in a move that has sparked intrigue online. The announcement came shortly after a series of now-deleted Instagram Stories hinted at infidelity.
On Sunday morning, Ashley posted an Instagram Story showing a man and a woman walking hand-in-hand, their faces hidden. The man, dressed in a short-sleeved shirt, and the woman, in a strapless black dress, were captioned with a pointed message: “My husband and his girlfriend holding hands.”
She paired the image with the Notorious B.I.G. song “Another,” featuring Lil’ Kim, emphasizing lyrics that confront betrayal: “What do you do when your man is untrue? Do you cut the sucker off and find someone new?” The post, though quickly removed, sent a clear message of her feelings.
Later that day, Ashley filed for divorce in a Philadelphia court, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage and noting that she and Krein are now living “separate and apart.”
Court documents, as reported by Radar Online, reveal that Ashley, executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice, is seeking spousal support, stating she is “unable to sustain herself” during the proceedings. Her attorney, Charles Meyer, requested a no-fault divorce.
Ashley’s social media activity continued to reflect her mindset. In another deleted Story, she shared herself walking through a park, giving a thumbs-up as Beyoncé’s “Freedom” played.
A third post, set to Lauryn Hill’s “Freedom Time,” included a reposted quote: “New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before.”
The couple’s story began in 2010, introduced through Ashley’s late brother, Beau Biden, who passed away from cancer in 2015. Krein, an otolaryngologist at Thomas Jefferson University, proposed in 2011.
Their 2012 wedding at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, Delaware, wove together Ashley’s Catholic roots and Krein’s Jewish heritage.
The celebration continued at the Biden family’s lakeside home in Wilmington, where then-Vice President Joe Biden prepared the space.
“I kept telling Ash, we’ve got to open up the church and practice walking up and down the aisle so I can handle it,” Joe once told People, praising Krein as “the right guy” and Ashley as “a h*lluva woman.”
Krein later served on the Biden Cancer Initiative’s board from 2017 to 2019 and advised Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign on COVID-19 responses. Yet, despite their shared history, the marriage has unraveled.
At the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Ashley spoke movingly about her wedding day, recalling her father’s words: “Before he walked me down the aisle, he turned to me and said he would always be my best friend.”
“All these years later, Dad, you are still my best friend.” The speech brought her father to tears, highlighting their close bond.
As Ashley navigates this new chapter, her social media posts and legal filings reveal yet another piece of controversy for the Biden family. Between Hunter Biden’s legal issues and Joe Biden’s cognitive decline coverup while he was president, there’s no shortage of scandal in the former first family.
