The Leftist media is at it again. They are bending over backwards to trash Donald Trump.
And this MSNBC host was hit over the head with shame for this insane Trump rant.
MSNBC Analyst Bashes Trump’s DC Crime Crackdown After Crying Over Stolen Bikes
The left’s double standards are on full display, and Ashley Parker, an MSNBC analyst and Washington Post correspondent, is the latest poster child for liberal hypocrisy. Just months ago, she was venting on X about rampant theft in Washington, DC, whining about her stolen car, scooters, and bikes. Now, she’s slamming President Trump’s bold crime-fighting measures in the capital, calling them an “occupation.” This kind of flip-flopping is exactly why Americans are fed up with elitist media figures who talk out of both sides of their mouths.
In a hit piece for The Atlantic, published last Friday, Parker and her co-author Nancy A. Youssef painted Trump’s deployment of the National Guard and federal officers to DC as some kind of authoritarian overreach. They had the gall to claim it’s “terrifying” for undocumented immigrants. “To some — especially undocumented immigrants — the Guard presence is disconcerting at best, terrifying at worst,” they wrote, as if restoring law and order is somehow a threat to anyone but criminals.
The article didn’t stop there. It mocked the National Guard’s presence as “sitcom-esque” and their work as “farcical,” with some unnamed sources comparing our brave servicemen and women to gardeners. “It was clear that almost no one felt particularly good about the arrangement: not the National Guardsmen, many of whom clearly didn’t want to be there, leaving their families and jobs in order to spread mulch and pick up trash; and not the residents, many of whom were furious with the occupation of their city or, worse, terrified of what the military’s presence portended for them and their loved ones,” the piece sneered.
But the internet doesn’t forget, and Parker’s hypocrisy was quickly exposed. On June 24, she posted on X, complaining about crime hitting her own home: “After another bike was stolen last night, my husband and I realized our life as DC homeowners by the numbers includes: 1 stolen car; 2 stolen scooters/Vespas; 3 stolen bikes; a partridge in a pear tree; etc.” Apparently, crime’s only a problem when it’s her stuff getting stolen, but when Trump steps in to clean up the streets, it’s suddenly an “occupation” she can’t stomach.
Social media users pounced, and rightfully so. “This you?” one X user fired back, linking her Atlantic article to her crime complaint. Another chimed in, “Lmao come on now,” while a third asked, “Any stolen items the past few weeks Ashley?” The best jab came from a user who nailed it: “The liberal hypocrisy is deafening.”
Meanwhile, President Trump is delivering real results. On Monday, he declared DC “now a crime-free zone” thanks to his decisive action. He complimented Mayor Muriel Bowser for working with his administration, saying, “Wow! Mayor Muriel Bowser of D.C. has become very popular because she worked with me and my great people in bringing CRIME down to virtually NOTHING in D.C.”
Trump didn’t hold back, calling out blue-state governors who refuse to follow suit. He slammed Illinois’ JB Pritzker, Maryland’s Wes Moore, California’s Gavin “Newscum” Newsom, and Chicago’s mayor with a “5% approval rating” for coddling criminals instead of fighting crime.
“Her statements and actions were positive, instead of others like [Illinois Gov. JB] Pritzker, [Maryland Gov.] Wes Moore, [California Gov. Gavin] Newscum [Newsom], and the 5% approval rated Mayor of Chicago, who spend all of their time trying to justify violent Crime, instead of working with us to completely ELIMINATE it, which we have done in Washington, D.C., NOW A CRIME FREE ZONE,” he posted on Truth Social.
Parker’s article is a textbook example of the left-wing media’s obsession with narrative over facts. Instead of celebrating safer streets, she’s wringing her hands over the supposed fears of undocumented immigrants. It’s the same tired playbook: ignore the victims of crime, vilify law enforcement, and cry oppression when someone actually tackles the problem.
The X backlash proves just how fed up people are. Parker’s own words about her stolen property expose her as someone who only cares about crime when it’s personal. When Trump steps in to fix the mess left by years of liberal neglect, she’s suddenly clutching her pearls. This is the same media elite that lectures working-class Americans while hiding behind their privilege.
What Parker doesn’t get is that Americans want safety, not sob stories for criminals. Trump’s National Guard deployment wasn’t about “occupation”—it was about restoring order to a city left to rot under weak leadership. Mocking the Guard as “sitcom-esque” only shows how little she understands the real-world impact of crime on regular people.
This hypocrisy isn’t just Parker’s—it’s the entire left-wing media machine. They’ll complain about crime when it hits their own backyard, but when it’s time to back tough policies, they’re nowhere to be found. Instead, they churn out drivel like Parker’s article, packed with buzzwords like “terrifying” to scare readers into opposing common-sense solutions.
Trump’s success in DC is a blueprint for every failing blue city in America. While liberal governors and mayors dither, Trump took action and turned the capital into a model of what’s possible when leaders put citizens first. Bowser deserves credit for working with him, unlike her counterparts in places like Chicago, where crime continues to spiral.
As Trump keeps delivering, the contrast between his leadership and the left’s empty rhetoric grows clearer. DC is safer, and that’s a win for every law-abiding citizen, whether Parker likes it or not.
This whole saga is a reminder of why Americans are rallying behind Trump and the America First agenda. They’re tired of being lectured by hypocrites who care more about their narrative than the safety of their communities.
