Illegal immigration hit horrible levels under Biden. Now Trump has reversed that trend.

And Tom Homan unleashed on a reporter in a fiery ambush interview.

Targeting Illegal Immigration with Precision

On September 9, Border Czar Tom Homan defended Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations during a heated exchange on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, refuting co-host Mika Brzezinski’s claim that people were being “disappeared.”

Homan emphasized that ICE targets individuals who violate U.S. immigration laws, stating, “We’re arresting people that are in the country illegally and are a public safety threat. We know exactly who we’re going to arrest when we go look for them. We have a case file in front of us.”

He cited data, echoed in an August Trump administration press release, showing that 70% of those targeted have criminal records, emphasizing a focus on removing dangerous offenders.

Critics, including a July Associated Press report, claim many detainees lack criminal convictions, but Homan’s remarks highlight a commitment to law enforcement over unchecked illegal immigration.

Restoring Law Enforcement Standards

Homan sharply criticized the Biden administration’s policies, particularly under former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, asserting, “You just said disappeared. That is a ridiculous thing to say because ICE is doing the same thing we’ve done for decades. But, because of the last four years, ICE wasn’t allowed to enforce the law. ICE was told to sit back.”

He argued that current operations align with ICE’s long-standing mission since 1984, enforcing laws passed by Congress.

“If you don’t like what ICE is doing, then go protest Congress,” he told Brzezinski, redirecting blame to legislative inaction that has allowed illegal immigration to persist.

Escalating Worksite Enforcement

Homan announced plans for increased workplace raids, citing a recent operation at a Hyundai and LG Energy Solution plant in Georgia, where ICE detained nearly 500 individuals, primarily South Korean nationals working illegally.

“And the comments like you just made is one of the reasons why these men and women are under threat every day, not just the men and women in ICE, but their spouses and their children,” he told Brzezinski, condemning rhetoric that he believes endangers agents.

The Georgia raid targeted those violating immigration laws through unauthorized entry, visa overstays, or working without permits, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to upholding legal employment standards.

Such operations aim to curb illegal labor practices that undermine American workers and businesses.
