There has been an uptick of political violence in this country. Things have gotten out of hand.

And a top Republican got hit with deadly threats from this deranged criminal.

In a shocking display of hatred aimed at a GOP leader, a 22-year-old man from New Hampshire now faces serious felony charges for plotting to assassinate Governor Kelly Ayotte with what he called a “weapon of mass destruction.” Authorities say Tristan Alexander Anderson laced his threats with vile antisemitic slurs and rants against the government, exposing the dark underbelly of online extremism targeting Republicans.

The drama unfolded when Pembroke police got a tip on August 28, leading to Anderson’s arrest. Court documents paint a chilling picture of his intentions, all spelled out in Snapchat messages that screamed danger.

It all started with Anderson’s roommate, who couldn’t ignore the red flags. She passed the disturbing texts to her ex-boyfriend, who did the right thing and alerted the cops, according to the probable cause affidavit.

One message stood out like a sore thumb: Anderson brazenly declared, “I’m going to target the NH Mayor Kelly ayott. With my weapon of mass destruction.” That’s the kind of language that sends shivers down the spine of anyone who values law and order.

Prosecutors aren’t mincing words—they claim Anderson deliberately targeted Ayotte in revenge for her work as a public servant, a clear assault on the principles that hold this republic together.

He’s slapped with charges of criminal threatening and making threats against key government figures, the kind of offenses that demand tough justice in a time when conservatives are under siege.

Right now, Anderson sits in jail without bail, cooling his heels until his dispositional conference on November 20.

Legal experts are watching closely. Jesse O’Neill, a veteran former prosecutor, suggested to WMUR 9 that as more details emerge, the state could pile on extra charges during the indictment process.

O’Neill emphasized the need for vigilance, saying, “I think it’s going to be important to watch as additional information about this case comes to light.” Wise words in an era where threats like this are popping up too often.

Fox News Digital tried to get statements from Ayotte’s office and Anderson’s attorney, but so far, crickets. The silence only amps up the tension surrounding this case.

This arrest hits hard amid a wave of political attacks ripping through the nation, especially against voices on the right who dare to stand up for traditional values.

Just look at the tragic slaying of conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk, the brains behind Turning Point USA. He was gunned down during a speech at Utah Valley University on September 10, a gut-wrenching loss for the movement.

The k*ller, Tyler Robinson, didn’t start out that way—his own family admitted he got sucked into left-wing radicalism, twisting his mind until he lashed out violently. It’s a stark warning about the poison spreading from progressive echo chambers.

Governor Ayotte isn’t backing down. On Wednesday, per the Concord Monitor, she spoke out about the growing fears for officials’ safety, revealing ongoing talks between lawmakers and police to beef up protections.

She pointed out that real fixes, like ramping up security or limiting access to sensitive areas, would need legislative muscle.

Meanwhile, Chris Vetter, the head of Safety Services at the State House, assured the Monitor that no direct threats against legislators or staff have crossed his desk yet.

But in this climate, staying alert is non-negotiable for anyone fighting for America’s core principles.
