The media has never been kind to Donald Trump. And that will likely never change.
As this Trump interview with Chris Cuomo explodes into an all out fire fight.
Eric Trump unleashed a verbal firestorm on NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, exposing the hypocrisy of a media and political elite that’s been gunning for his family for years. In a Tuesday showdown, Eric didn’t just defend his father, President Donald Trump—he obliterated the narrative that the Trump administration is weaponizing government against its foes
Cuomo tried to trap Eric with a loaded question: “Do you think that it is fair to say it looks like the administration is going after its political opponents now and doing exactly what you say you oppose?” The insinuation was clear—Cuomo wanted to paint Trump as no better than the Biden administration, which Eric and his father have long accused of targeting them. But Eric wasn’t biting.
“Oh, that’s, what — [James] Comey? Because, I mean, it seemed very clear to me in the congressional testimony, I don’t know, just watching it, it certainly seems like he lied to me. I mean, I’m also wondering what an FBI director is doing taking memos from the FBI and leaking them to The New York Times,” Eric shot back, referencing the recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey for alleged false statements and obstruction of Congress.
Eric’s takedown of Comey was a direct hit at the deep state’s poster boy. For too long, the media has shielded figures like Comey, ignoring their abuses while painting the Trumps as the villains. Comey’s indictment isn’t just a legal victory—it’s a sign the swamp is finally getting drained, and Eric’s not afraid to call it out.
He kept the heat on, turning Cuomo’s question into a mirror. “But I find it so ironic that you’re literally one that’s pushing back on the weaponization of government when the very same people that were coming after us, you know, went after your brother [former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo] like hounds. I mean, they did everything they could to destroy his governorship. They did everything that they could to destroy his life. They did everything they could do to destroy you,” Eric said, his words cutting through the media’s sanctimonious facade.
This was a gut punch. Eric reminded Cuomo that the same establishment that hounded the Trumps also went after the Cuomos with ruthless abandon. “You’ve been on the receiving end of the very same people that I’ve been the receiving end of,” he said to Cuomo. “And so, to play coy with me as if this isn’t happening in the United States of America just seems ironic and foolish given what you’ve been through more so than anybody, worse than anybody.”
Cuomo, visibly rattled, tried to push back. “Hold on a second. What did you just say that you think I’m doing?” he said before doubling down: “I’m asking you questions about whether or not — if something is wrong, is it also wrong to do the same thing when you get back in power? But if you think I’m playing coy, uh, you don’t know me as well as you should. I’m not playing coy. I know what happened to me, Eric. I’m saying that what is happening now looks like what was done to you. That’s why I’m asking the question.”
Eric wasn’t falling for it. He went off, dismantling Cuomo’s attempt to equate the Trump administration’s actions with the Biden machine’s lawfare. “Hey, did we raid [Joe] Biden’s home? Did we? Did we try and bankrupt Biden? Did they come after us?” he demanded. “Did we weaponize every AG and DA against Biden? Do we do that against Hunter Biden, who had a laptop from h*ll, pictures of cocaine, illicit drug use, prostitution? You know, did we do that?”
The “laptop from h*ll” line was a deliberate jab at the media’s refusal to touch Hunter Biden’s scandals while obsessing over every move the Trumps made. Eric’s point was unmistakable: the rules only apply when it suits the left. The Bidens skate free, but the Trumps? They’ve been hunted like dogs.
Eric kept hammering: “Did we make up a dirty dossier about Biden? Did we try and destroy Biden’s marriage? You know, was any of that true? I mean, did we make up stories that Biden had secret servers in the basement of his home communicating with the Kremlin in Russia? You know, did we strip Biden off the ballot of multiple states? Did we take Biden off of Twitter and Instagram and Facebook and try and silence his voice so he couldn’t communicate? Did we put Biden in a courtroom every single day, 91 felony counts that have all been overturned for my father now, right? For nonsense, to try and keep him off of a campaign trail and to try to destroy his life? Did we do any of that?”
This was Eric at his peak, channeling the rage of millions who see a rigged system. The “91 felony counts,” now overturned, are proof of the establishment’s desperation to stop Donald Trump.
From deplatforming to courtroom battles, the Trumps faced a coordinated assault meant to crush them. Yet they’re still standing, and Eric’s not letting anyone forget it.
The legal warfare against the Trumps wasn’t just about politics—it was personal. As Eric put it, the goal was to “destroy” his family, even trying to “strip our name off of every building in New York City.” This wasn’t justice; it was vengeance from a system terrified of losing control.
Eric’s performance was a rallying cry. He didn’t just take on Cuomo—he took on the entire corrupt machine. The media, the deep state, and the political class have spent years trying to silence Donald Trump and his supporters, but Eric’s defiance shows they’re fighting back harder than ever.
As 2024 approaches, this clash is a reminder of what’s at stake. The elites want to control the narrative, but the Trumps are giving voice to the forgotten. Eric’s words resonate with every American who’s tired of the hypocrisy, the selective outrage, and the endless witch hunts.
This wasn’t just an interview—it was a declaration. The Trumps aren’t backing down, and neither are the millions who stand with them.
