The Left can’t keep their hands out of radicalism. It’s the only thing they are good at.
And a Democrat congresswoman was caught with terrorist ties that could upend her career.
In a move that’s raising serious red flags for patriotic Americans, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s campaign just funneled over a thousand bucks to a D.C.-based outfit that’s all about pushing a pro-Palestinian agenda with some shady connections. Federal Election Commission records, dug up by Fox News Digital, show that Ilhan for Congress dropped $1,559.25 on “event tickets” from the Palestine House of Freedom back in September.
The Palestine House of Freedom, or “Dar Alhurriya” in Arabic, sits right in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol, making its radical stance even more alarming. This nonprofit isn’t hiding its goals – a video on their site declares they’re “dedicated to the liberation of Palestine” and “the dismantling of apartheid in Palestine and the establishment of a free, democratic state from the river to the sea.”
Dig a little deeper into their website, and it’s clear they’re on a mission to brainwash everyone from lawmakers to the average Joe. They brag about launching “an aggressive educational campaign targeting everyone from lawmakers, staffers, the media, to the general public” to push the idea that “show how dismantling apartheid and establishing a free democratic Palestine from the River to the Sea with equal rights, is the path to peace and will benefit all parties involved.” They flat-out call Israel “operating as an apartheid state,” which is just the kind of anti-Israel rhetoric that fuels division and ignores the real threats.
Now, this isn’t some isolated group – they’ve been in the spotlight for teaming up with Palestinian Birzeit University, a place riddled with alleged terrorist sympathies. Earlier this year, Palestine House of Freedom threw a fundraiser called “From Birzeit and Beyond: How academia shapes resistance and resilience,” with every penny going straight to the university.
Birzeit’s campus has seen parades with students sporting mock su*cide vests and fake rockets, as caught by Memri TV. This isn’t just student pranks – it’s glorifying violence. The Al-Wafaa bloc, tied to Hamas, has dominated elections there since the 1990s, snagging victories in 2022 and 2023.
After that 2023 win, a high-ranking Hamas figure couldn’t contain his glee. “The second message is that the bloc has proven its ability to adapt to changes, overcome complexities, and fill the void created by arrests, martyrdom, or deportation,” said Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas’ Political Bureau, in an interview with the Middle East Monitor.
Haniyeh, who got taken out by Israeli forces in Tehran last year, went on to boast that Hamas is “unbreakable” in its homeland and ready to battle the “occupier, oppression and terrorism.”
This isn’t a one-off; back in 2017, another top Hamas mouthpiece congratulated Birzeit students on their election results. It’s a pattern of praise from terrorists for a university that’s supposed to be about education, not extremism. When Hamas operatives are cheering on student victories, you know something’s rotten.
Even U.S. lawmakers are sounding the alarm on Birzeit’s influence creeping into American institutions. Rep. Elise Stefanik from New York and Rep. Tim Walberg from Michigan fired off a letter to Harvard University on September 29, slamming them for dragging their feet on cutting ties with Birzeit. The duo described the school as “an institution whose student body overwhelmingly supports Hamas” and one that “explicitly endorses a U.S. designated terrorist organization.”
Harvard had already said this spring they’d let their cooperation agreement with Birzeit expire and promised a final call after an internal probe, per The Harvard Crimson. But Stefanik and Walberg aren’t buying the delays – they’re demanding accountability. Why should elite universities like Harvard even flirt with partners that back designated terror groups?
Omar’s donation to Palestine House of Freedom ties right into this mess, especially since the group directly supported Birzeit’s fundraiser. We don’t know which specific event those “event tickets” were for, but the timing and connections scream conflict of interest. As a member of the far-left “Squad,” Omar’s actions keep putting her in hot water with anyone who values America’s alliances and security.
Remember, Omar burst onto the scene in 2018 as one of the first Muslim women in Congress, but her record is packed with controversial statements that smack of anti-Americanism. She’s downplayed the 9/11 attacks by saying “some people did something,” which outraged survivors and families. And she’s accused Israel of having “hypnotized the world,” a remark she later walked back with an apology.
Her rhetoric hasn’t stopped there – it’s fueled ongoing backlash from conservatives who see it as unpatriotic. Just last month, the House came close to censuring her over comments tied to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but the vote fell short. That’s a narrow escape for Omar, but it shows how divided Washington is on holding radicals accountable.
This latest revelation about her campaign funds only amps up the scrutiny. Why is a sitting congresswoman’s money going to a group that partners with a university praised by Hamas leaders? It’s time for real investigations into these financial ties, not more excuses from the left.
U.S. citizens deserve representatives who put the nation first, not ones cozying up to anti-Israel extremists. Omar’s pattern of behavior erodes trust in American institutions and weakens its stance against global terrorism.
If Americans don’t call this out now, who knows what other radical causes her campaign might bankroll next?
The fight to expose these connections is crucial for safeguarding American values and alliances.
Patriots across the country should demand transparency and push back against politicians who fund agendas that threaten their way of life.
