The Left aren’t sending their best. The most radical members of the Democrat Party are deciding to launch campaigns.
And a major Trump enemy announced their run for office in a move that has Republicans petrified.
George Conway, the loudmouth lawyer who’s spent years bashing President Donald Trump, has officially thrown his hat into the ring for Congress. On Monday, he filed the paperwork to run as a Democrat in New York’s 12th District, marking his first stab at elected office and a full-blown switch from his old Republican roots.
This filing comes straight from the Federal Election Commission records, where Conway set up his “George Conway for Congress” committee. He’s aiming for the seat in Manhattan that’s been held for decades by Jerry Nadler, the Democrat who’s finally calling it quits after 34 years. Nadler’s stepping down opens the floodgates in this liberal stronghold.
Conway’s campaign site, georgeconwayforcongress.com, is still half-baked and under construction, but that hasn’t stopped him from jumping into the fray. The district is a hotbed of elite influence, stretching from Union Square up to the Upper West Side.
The primary is already a circus, with a slew of Democrats piling in to grab Nadler’s spot. Names like Micah Lasher, Alan Pardee, Liam Elkind, Erik Bottcher, Alexander Bores, Jami Floyd, Laura Dunn, Cameron Kasky, and even Jack Schlossberg – yeah, the Kennedy grandson – are all vying for it.
Schlossberg kicked off his run last month, painting the 2026 elections as do-or-die for stopping Trump’s return.
He didn’t mince words, calling it “our last chance to stop Trump.” It’s classic Democrat hysteria, and now Conway’s wading into the same swamp, built on the same anti-Trump obsession that’s defined his public rants for years.
Conway’s made a career out of trashing Trump on multiple cable news channels. He’s the guy who goes on air to spew venom, positioning himself as some kind of moral guardian against what he sees as Trump’s threat to the nation.
Take his CNN appearance, where he declared, “This is not America. This is not healthy. This is authoritarianism. We have never seen anything like this in America.” It’s the kind of over-the-top drama that plays well in liberal echo chambers but falls flat with everyday Americans who remember the real authoritarian moves from the left.
Then there’s his MSNBC hit, where he labeled Trump as “a pathological liar and a sociopath” and called him “a cancer on the American political life that must be removed once and for all.” Strong words from a man who’s now cozying up to the party that’s been enabling chaos in cities like New York.
But Conway’s antics go beyond talk. Back in October, he showed up at a “No Kings” protest near Washington, D.C., sporting a shirt that proudly proclaimed “I Am Antifa.” That’s right, the group that’s been linked to riots and street violence, and one that President Trump wisely slapped with a terrorist designation just days before.
Trump’s move to label Antifa as terrorists was a bold step against the radical left’s foot soldiers, who’ve been torching businesses and clashing with police under the guise of protest. And here’s Conway, aligning himself with them at a time when the feds are cracking down hard.
This isn’t just a wardrobe choice; it’s a statement of where Conway’s loyalties lie. Switching to the Democrat Party and embracing Antifa vibes? It smells like a calculated play to appeal to the far-left base in Manhattan, where extremism gets rewarded with votes.
Running in Nadler’s district means Conway’s betting on a voter base that’s all in on progressive policies – the same ones that have turned New York into a mess of high crime.
It’s a far cry from the America First agenda that Trump champions.
With competitors like Schlossberg bringing Kennedy nostalgia to the table, Conway’s anti-Trump shtick might stand out, but in a bad way.
Will voters buy into his flip-flopping, or see it as just another elite trying to game the system?
As the 2026 midterms heat up, Conway’s entry highlights the desperation among Trump’s haters.
They’re scrambling to stop him, but moves like this only fire up his base that’s ready to fight back against the establishment’s tricks.
