Kennedy Jr. has been tapped by Trump to fight many health battles in the country. So far, he’s been up to the task.
And RFK Jr. made a new proclamation that could have lasting impacts on Americans’ health.
On January 7, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins dropped a bombshell with the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans – a total overhaul that turns the old food pyramid on its head.
This isn’t just some minor tweak. The new rules straight-up prioritize real, whole foods, loaded with healthy fats and plenty of protein. They’re declaring the ridiculous war on “healthy fats” over for good.
Americans are being told to load up on nutrient-packed proteins, from good old eggs, chicken, fish, and yes, red meat.
Don’t forget the plant options either – beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, and soy get a nod too.
These guidelines hammer home the need to ditch ultra-processed junk. They warn against those salty or sugary packaged foods, ready-to-eat slop, and especially sugar-loaded drinks like soda and energy drinks.
What makes this announcement huge is that the Dietary Guidelines haven’t seen real change since 1980.
These rules don’t just sit on a shelf. They dictate what kids eat in school lunches, what our troops get in the mess hall, hospital meals, and even food stamps programs like SNAP. Finally, taxpayer money might stop subsidizing poison.
For years, everyday Americans have called out how these guidelines ignore real science and bow to big corporations.
The old guidelines practically endorsed low-fat diets crammed with processed fillers and let ultra-processed foods slide.
RFK Jr. has called those additives straight-up “poison,” blaming them for exploding childhood obesity rates.
At the press conference, Kennedy didn’t hold back on the past betrayals. “The hard truth is that our government has been lying to us to protect corporate profit-taking,” he stated. He also added that “today the lies stop.”
Even with all the establishment attacks on Kennedy and the Make America Healthy Again push, plenty of experts admit cutting processed junk and sticking to whole foods is a no-brainer for better health.
Take the American Medical Association – they put out a statement cheering the focus on ditching processed foods and sugary drinks that drive heart issues, diabetes, and obesity.
“The Guidelines affirm that food is medicine and offer clear direction patients and physicians can use to improve health,” the AMA stated.
Of course, the elites and their media mouthpieces are whining about the red meat part.
Outlets like The New York Times trot out experts claiming too much beef is dangerous and we should swap it for more beans and plants.
This new direction honors American farmers, ranchers, and common-sense eating that built strong families for centuries.
