Democrats want Trump to fail at every turn. That seems to be the only thing they care about.
But this latest Trump test result has Democrats in sheer panic mode.
President Trump’s bold military campaign against Iran has the usual suspects in the media and the Democrat Party screaming that it’s tearing apart the MAGA movement from within.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Fresh numbers from multiple polls prove the Republican base is locked in behind the president’s America First decision to neutralize the Iranian threat before it reaches our shores.
The RealClearPolitics average puts overall approval for Operation Epic Fury at 39 percent in favor and 52 percent against.
That headline figure might look shaky at first glance, but it hides where the real opposition is coming from, and it is not from the heart of the GOP.
When you drill down into the individual surveys, Republican voters stand united. Not a single major poll shows more than 18 percent of Republicans turning against military operations to stop the mullahs from going nuclear.
The CBS/YouGov poll conducted March 2 through March 3 delivers the clearest snapshot yet. Just 10 percent of Democrats approved of the strikes while 90 percent opposed them.
Independents split 37 percent in favor and 63 percent against. Yet Republicans delivered a commanding 85 percent approval with only 15 percent opposed. The party that sent Trump back to the White House is holding the line exactly as expected.
Democrats have revealed themselves once again as the party of weakness, more worried about pleasing foreign regimes than keeping Americans safe from radical Islamic terror.
Their near-total rejection of Trump’s necessary action exposes how far removed they are from the values of everyday patriots.
The Washington Post poll released March 1 told the same story with almost identical numbers. Democrat support sat at a pathetic 9 percent approval and 87 percent disapproval.
Republicans backed the president at 81 percent approval and just 12 percent opposed. Independents landed in the middle again, 28 percent in favor and 59 percent against.
Reuters/Ipsos confirmed the pattern without surprise. Only 5 percent of Democrats supported the operation while 95 percent stood against it.
Republican approval reached 82 percent with 18 percent opposed. Independents showed 29 percent support and 67 percent disapproval.
The numbers keep proving the same point: the resistance to Trump’s Iran policy lives almost entirely on the left.
