The Left is losing control. Even their own ranks are revolting.

And now a top Democrat Senator defended Trump against the mainstream media.

Fetterman Calls Out Media’s Selective Lens on Iran Strikes

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), often a outlier among Democrats for his straightforward views, sharply criticized mainstream U.S. media coverage of Operation Epic Fury — the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign launched on February 28, 2026, targeting Iran’s missile and drone capabilities, naval power, and nuclear ambitions.

Fetterman’s Critique of Press Reporting

In recent comments, Fetterman accused the press of engaging in “selective coverage” that he says plays into Iran’s hands by emphasizing minor disruptions while downplaying major setbacks for Tehran.

He pointed out how outlets have highlighted rising energy prices and the temporary closure of the Strait of Hormuz, yet often omit context such as higher gas prices in prior years or the operation’s broader achievements.

“I read the entire political spectrum on Epic Fury. Iran now loves and learns from the media,” Fetterman stated. “The media’s selective coverage rewards and reinforces Iran’s strategy.”

He further argued: “Media amplifies the 1% chaos Iran creates, while ignoring the 99% of Iran’s beatdown.”

Fetterman noted that in the first 30 days, U.S. and Israeli strikes hit 11,000 targets, destroying roughly 90% of Iran’s missiles and 95% of its drones.

The campaign also resulted in the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and numerous senior officials, paving the way for negotiations with what the Trump administration described as a “new” and “more reasonable” leadership.

Questioning the Narrative on Success and Accountability

The Pennsylvania senator pushed back against portrayals that frame the operation primarily through negative economic ripples, such as oil prices climbing toward $100 per barrel.

He reminded that Democrats had long insisted “Iran can’t ever acquire a nuclear weapon,” and argued that, by metrics of conventional warfare, Epic Fury has delivered significant results.

Fetterman stressed that Iran’s own actions — including its nuclear pursuits, support for proxies, and the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack — set the stage for the response. “If Iran had abandoned its nuclear ambitions and vow of ‘Death to America and Israel’ there would be no Epic Fury. No 10/7. No Gaza War,” he said.

He questioned why coverage has largely sidestepped judging the effort against the stated goals outlined by the administration, including holding Iran accountable for threats against Americans and allies.

Fetterman’s remarks highlight a recurring pattern in which certain media outlets appear more focused on amplifying setbacks or political criticism than providing balanced perspective on strategic outcomes, potentially shaping public perception in ways that benefit adversarial regimes.
