Democrats are crazy. But this may take the cake.
Because an unhinged Leftist blamed Trump for the assassination attempt.
A Near-Miss at the Correspondents’ Dinner Becomes a Blame Game
The ink had barely dried on Saturday’s stunning security breach at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner — where an armed suspect came within reach of the President, Vice President, and other top officials — when left-wing radio host Charlamagne Tha God decided the real problem wasn’t the shooter. It was Donald Trump.
“People always ask if we’re going to tone down the violent rhetoric toward Trump,” the Breakfast Club host declared. “Stop it. I’m sick of that narrative. I need every media personality to direct that energy and that question to one person and one person only: Donald J. Trump. At what point do people simply say, ‘Hey Trump, you’re the drama?'”
The comments set off immediate and forceful pushback from the White House.
A Suspect’s Manifesto — and a Clear Political Motive
Federal law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News that the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen of Torrance, California, told authorities after his arrest Saturday night that he intended to target Trump administration officials. Allen had also prepared a manifesto and disseminated anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric across his social media accounts. President Trump himself described Allen as “a very troubled guy” in a Fox News interview.
Allen’s brother had reportedly contacted the New London Police Department in Connecticut prior to the attack, alerting authorities that Allen had sent family members an alleged manifesto outlining his violent intentions.
The warning went unheeded. The attack represents yet another entry in a disturbing and growing list of threats against the President — one that already includes two confirmed assassination attempts and an armed intrusion at Mar-a-Lago.
White House Puts the Left on Notice
The administration wasted no time responding to Charlamagne’s inflammatory remarks. In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, the White House made its position crystal clear:
“Vile political rhetoric like this is extremely dangerous and life-threatening. It’s unhinged commentary like Charlamagne Tha God’s that inspires political violence, and he should be especially mortified of his words given this weekend’s egregious attempt against the President and others in his administration.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was equally pointed in her Monday briefing: “Those who constantly falsely label and slander the president as a fascist, as a threat to democracy, and compare him to Hitler to score political points, are fueling this kind of violence.”
Leavitt went further, connecting the left’s relentless demonization of the President to a pattern of real-world consequences:
“The left-wing cult of hatred against the president and all of those who support him and work for him has gotten multiple people hurt and k*lled, and it almost did so again this weekend.”
For Americans who have watched years of breathless rhetoric paint the 45th and 47th President as an existential monster, Saturday’s near-tragedy stands as a sobering reminder that words have consequences — especially when they come from influential voices with massive platforms.
