And this horrific attack on J.D. Vance will make you utterly sick.
If you thought the assassinations of Trump and Vance would end after a literal assassination attempt on Trump’s life rocked the nation in mid-July, the sad reality is that they won’t. The character assassinations will continue on and on, some of which are enough to make you wince at how awful they truly are. Here’s MSNBC trying to say that J.D. Vance is “inauthentic” and a liar who is untrue to his upbringing.
In a recent discussion on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki shared her views on Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance’s political strategy, comparing him to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is also a prominent Democratic figure. Psaki argued that Vance is trying to emulate Walz’s appeal to rural, centrist voters but is failing to come across as authentic.
During the conversation, co-host Mika Brzezinski and Psaki criticized Vance for what they described as an attempt to portray himself as a supporter of former President Donald Trump. They pointed to Vance’s past comments, which were critical of Trump, as evidence that his current support for the former president is inauthentic. Brzezinski highlighted Vance’s previous statements, including a private Facebook message where Vance allegedly questioned if Trump could be compared to “America’s Hitler” during the 2016 election. Additionally, Vance referred to himself as a “Never Trump guy” in an interview that same year.
Since then, Vance has said that he let the narrative around Trump get in the way of forming his own opinion on Donald Trump. During Donald Trump’s first term, Vance became a staunch supporter of his policies and his success.
Psaki elaborated on this point, stating that Vance’s appearance at the Republican National Convention fell flat and failed to ignite the enthusiasm that some within Trump’s campaign had hoped for.
She quoted former Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill, who suggested that Vance wishes he could appeal to voters in the same way as Tim Walz, someone who is perceived as genuinely relatable and authentically connected to his Midwestern roots. Psaki argued that this authenticity is something Vance lacks, despite his efforts to present himself as a “regular guy.”
Brzezinski further questioned Vance’s ability to reconcile his past criticisms of Trump with his current support, suggesting that he struggles with his political identity. Psaki agreed, noting that voters can easily detect inauthenticity and that this could be a significant challenge for Vance’s campaign.
The conversation also touched on a recent controversy involving Tim Walz. Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign released footage of Walz discussing his desire to ban certain weapons following the 2018 Parkland school shooting.

However, a CNN fact-check by correspondent Tom Foreman revealed that there is “no evidence” to support Walz’s claim that he was in a position of being shot at during his military service. This led Vance, a former Marine Corps combat correspondent, to accuse Walz of lying about his military service and described his exit from the National Guard as “shameful.”
Mainstream Media Runs 24/7 Flowers For Harris And Criticism For Trump-Vance
MSNBC is one of the worst offenders in terms of being a blatant example of a mainstream media outlet who is trying to help play catch up for Kamala Harris and the Democrats with constant good press. They have hardly skipped a beat in their cerebral praise of Harris as one of the “most qualified” candidates in history.
They aren’t the only one’s though. CNN and ABC are also back to their pro-Democrat antics. Here’s just a couple examples of how obsessed these outlets have been with the Harris mania.

The extreme disparity in how much they go after Trump and Vance as compared to Harris is truly despicable. The days of a Walter Cronkite-like reporting is seemingly gone from the vast majority of journalism in mainstream media outlets.
