The Trump appointments are rolling in fast. They are controversial, to say the least.
And now Donald Trump’s made a decision that has everyone up in arms.
The relationship between the United States and Israel has been extremely odd ever since the October 7th attack on innocent Israeli citizens and Jews at the hands of disgusting Hamas radical Islamic terrorists. At first, the Joe Biden administration was signaling full support for Israel to pay back Hamas every ounce of what they did to innocent Israelis and Americans that day, but that quickly started to change as the pro-Hamas, pro-Palestine crowd got louder and louder.
Hamas was prepared to hide under tunnels, effectively using innocent Palestinians as human shields from the retribution that the Israeli government rightfully wants to payback to Hamas. There’s no way around the fact that Hamas has been cowardly in their “fight” against Israel.
This has created a situation where support for Israel is starting to come into question by some loud political pundits here in the United States. The so-called “progressive” wing of the Democrat Party has been furious that Israel is being allowed to enact revenge against Hamas, so they’ve been pressuring for an end to the war that would effectively let Hamas live to fight another day and cause another Oct 7th-like attack. To be clear, there’s plenty behind the argument that the United States can’t even afford to help Israel in their war. That’s a reasonable argument to make, but not one the radical Leftists have been making. They want Israel to lose.
Well, the isolationist libertarians and the radical “progressives” are not going to be happy with the latest announcement from Donald Trump about who he’s adding to his administration to assist with Israel relations.
President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he will nominate former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the U.S. ambassador to Israel. The announcement was made on Tuesday, signaling a continuation of Trump’s strong support for the Israeli government as tensions escalate in the Middle East, particularly with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Huckabee, a well-known advocate for Israel, has long been a vocal defender of the country, and his nomination comes as Trump aims to strengthen U.S.-Israel relations. In a statement, Trump praised Huckabee’s qualifications and his unwavering support for Israel. “Mike has been a great public servant, Governor, and Leader in Faith for many years,” Trump said. “He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East!”

Huckabee, who has led many tours to Israel over the years, often promoting the trips through conservative news outlets, has become a prominent figure in pro-Israel circles. His frequent visits and advocacy have earned him a reputation as a steadfast supporter of Israeli policies.
David Friedman, who served as Trump’s ambassador to Israel during his first term, expressed his support for Huckabee’s nomination, calling it a “thrilling” choice. This endorsement highlights the strong alignment between Huckabee’s views and the Trump administration’s foreign policy stance, which has focused on deepening ties with Israel and addressing regional security challenges.
This choice almost certainly signals that Donald Trump is simply not going to give into the demands that Israel gives up on their war against Hamas. It’s true that innocent civilians should be kept safe as much as possible, but the team Donald Trump is putting together on the Israel relations front seems to be of the opinion that Hamas has to be done with.
Mike Huckabee has made many comments that are sure to frustrate the anti-Israel camp, which includes both the “head in the sand” libertarian isolationists as well as the pro-Hamas, pro-Islam radical wing of the Democrat party. He’s made it clear he does not believe “Palestinians”, who don’t even belong to a recognized sovereign nation, have any right to the land that Israel rightfully possesses.

There is no such thing as a settlement. They're communities, neighborhoods, cities.
There is no such thing as an occupation"Mike Huckabee, Trump's newly appointed US ambassador to Israel pic.twitter.com/ro4pp45HKh
