The mainstream media is all falling apart. They’re being exposed as the frauds they are.

And now a U.S. Senator slapped a Fake News journalist with a jaw-dropping truth bomb live on TV.

Everyone has a love-hate relationship with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Yeah he might be better than having a radical, so-called “progressive” in the Senate seat from South Carolina, but he’s often backstabbing the conservative voters of his from his home state. He’s definitely one of the worst war hawks in the entire U.S. Senate and maybe one of the worst in all of Congress. There’s some major flaws that conservatives still don’t like about him.

That being said, he has his positive moments. Sometimes he will turn on the establishment on behalf of Donald Trump, which just goes to show his paradoxical (and somewhat schizophrenic) political outlook. Still, though, Trump and his supporters appreciate it when Graham comes to his senses and goes after the political class and the Fake News Media. Graham had one of those moments recently where you just have to tip your hat to the man.

Sen. Lindsey Graham Defends FBI Nominee Kash Patel in Heated Exchange with CBS Host

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham clashed with CBS host Margaret Brennan on Sunday during an appearance on Face the Nation, where the senator firmly defended FBI director nominee Kash Patel and criticized the media’s portrayal of him, particularly in light of former Attorney General Bill Barr’s recent remarks.

Since former President Donald Trump nominated Patel for the role of FBI director, the appointment has sparked intense debates. Democrats have voiced strong opposition to Patel, while Republicans, including Graham, have expressed concerns over the FBI’s leadership, especially under past administrations. During the interview, Brennan referenced a claim from Barr’s memoir, where he suggested that Patel “would never be able to command the respect necessary to run the day-to-day operations of the Bureau.” Graham, however, dismissed Barr’s comment, refusing to endorse it as a valid criticism.

As the conversation progressed, Brennan persisted in questioning Graham about Patel’s qualifications and his support for the nominee. She also highlighted other figures who had weighed in on Patel’s potential to lead the FBI. However, Graham seized the opportunity to bring up Patel’s role in exposing what he described as the “Russia hoax” — a reference to the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. According to Graham, this was a crucial aspect of Patel’s career that deserved more attention.

“You’re not asking me about the Russia hoax that Kash Patel exposed,” Graham pointed out. “That’s why I trust him.” Brennan, however, quickly pivoted, noting that the conversation was veering far from the topic at hand. “Lindsey Graham, this is a far cry from the question about Kash Patel,” she said. “You took me all the way to Israel from Kash Patel. Are you committing to vote for him no matter what?”

Graham responded firmly, “I won’t say no matter what, but yes, I am ready to vote for Kash Patel.” He further emphasized that his trust in Patel stemmed from his role in uncovering what Graham considered to be a dark chapter in the FBI’s history, going as far as comparing the situation to the leadership of J. Edgar Hoover, the Bureau’s controversial former director.

Brennan shot back, saying, “Ask him about going after journalists, which he’s also said. I’m interested in the answer to that.” Graham, not backing down, responded pointedly: “Yeah, I’m sure Democratic friends will ask him. You shouldn’t worry about Kash Patel. You should worry about reporting the news fairly, which you don’t do when it comes to everything Trump.”

Critics of Patel point to his past statements and positions on key issues, such as his vocal opposition to the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into alleged Russian interference, while his supporters argue that he played a vital role in exposing what they see as an unjust political narrative. Patel, who served as chief of staff to the secretary of defense during Trump’s first term, has been a controversial figure for his outspoken views on the Mueller investigation. His stance on the Russia probe, which he called a “distraction,” has drawn significant attention, particularly as it was later revealed that the Steele Dossier, which fueled much of the investigation, had been funded by opposition research tied to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Patel’s nomination hearing before Senate lawmakers is expected soon, although no official date has been set as of Sunday. As the confirmation process moves forward, it remains to be seen how Patel’s past actions and statements will influence his chances of securing the role of FBI director. For now, though, U.S. Senators on the Hill are saying that it is likely that Patel will be confirmed without too much of an issue.

The Conservative Column will update our readers on any major developments in Kash Patel’s confirmation process.
