The Democrats’ agenda is falling apart. And now it’s only getting worse for them.

And the House GOP smacked Democrats with one final nail in the coffin.

Republicans are moving swiftly to tear down President Joe Biden’s last-minute regulations, with Senate Majority Leader John Thune announcing Tuesday that at least 10 of them are in their sights.

The GOP plans to use the Congressional Review Act (CRA), a crucial legislative tool that allows Congress to overturn executive branch regulations.

However, time is of the essence. Lawmakers have only a narrow 60-day window to act, meaning Republicans are racing against the clock to reverse Biden’s bureaucratic overreach.

With that deadline looming, Republicans are laying the groundwork for an aggressive push.

Their mission is clear: roll back the heavy-handed rules Biden’s administration imposed in its final months and restore policies that support economic growth and job creation.

“Be assured that we will use our time when we’re not working on nominees to do everything we can to repeal a lot of the heavy-handed, onerous, burdensome regulations of the Biden administration, which we think are strangling our economy and making it harder for businesses in this country to develop great jobs,” said Mr. Thune, a South Dakota Republican.

Biden’s regulatory spree has fueled inflation, burdened businesses, and made life more expensive for hardworking Americans.

These rules, many of which were pushed through in the administration’s final stretch, are now under direct threat as Republicans take action to undo the damage.

The CRA process limits GOP efforts to Biden-era rules enacted since August, meaning only the most recent — and often most radical — regulations are eligible for repeal.

That puts even more pressure on lawmakers to act fast before these policies become more deeply entrenched.

According to Thune, Republicans are currently considering 10 to 15 joint resolutions of disapproval, each designed to dismantle Biden’s job-killing mandates.

However, the exact order in which these resolutions will be introduced is still under discussion between House and Senate Republicans and the Trump White House.

“A lot of times those CRAs originate in the House and then come over here, but we’ll see,” Thune said.

“There’s a lot of consideration being given right now to which candidates are eligible for CRAs and how to prioritize them.”

Republicans know they have a limited window, but they also have a clear mandate: cut through Biden’s red tape, rein in the bloated bureaucracy, and put America back on the path to prosperity.
