In a bold and unapologetic move, President Donald Trump unleashed a scathing warning to the Hamas terror group on Wednesday, vowing to back Israel with unwavering support while demanding the immediate release of all remaining hostages. “I’m sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job,” Trump declared, adding a chilling promise: “OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”
Fresh off a meeting with eight recently freed hostages in the Oval Office, the president took to Truth Social to deliver his fiery message. “‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose,” he wrote, blending defiance with a stark ultimatum.
“Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you m*rdered, or it is OVER for you. Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!”
Trump didn’t mince words, amplifying his threat with a personal vow: “Not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.” Reflecting on his encounter with the freed captives, he raged, “I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed.”
His final warning left no room for ambiguity: “This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”

The call for Hamas leaders to flee Gaza echoes a chapter from history when the Palestinian Liberation Organization evacuated thousands of fighters from Beirut in 1982, bowing to Israeli pressure. Trump’s words carry the weight of that precedent, signaling a no-nonsense approach to the ongoing crisis.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shed light on the president’s meeting with the freed hostages, identified as Iair Horn, Omer Shem Tov, Eli Sharabi, Keith Siegel, Aviva Siegel, Naama Levy, Doron Steinbrecher, and Noa Argamani.
“Today, President Trump took time to meet with eight of the released hostages from Gaza,” Leavitt stated. “The President listened intently to their heartbreaking stories. The hostages thanked President Trump for his steadfast efforts to bring all of the hostages home.”
Earlier that day, the White House confirmed that administration officials had opened direct talks with Hamas, aiming to secure the release of at least some of the remaining captives.
Among them is Edan Alexander, a 21-year-old American believed to still be alive. Alexander was captured while serving in the Israeli military during Hamas’s brutal October 7, 2023, attack, which sparked Israel’s invasion and a subsequent cease-fire in January.
Trump’s latest salvo builds on a pattern of blunt warnings. In December, as president-elect, he wrote, “Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East.”
That pressure appeared to pay off when Hamas struck a deal just before Trump’s inauguration, releasing some hostages—though Alexander, ineligible under the cease-fire terms, remains in captivity.
Last month, Trump upped the ante again, warning that “all hell is going to break out” if captives weren’t freed by February 15. When that deadline passed, he deferred to Israeli leaders on the next move.
Now, his rhetoric has reached a boiling point, paired with a radical vision for Gaza’s future: relocating its roughly 2 million residents to Jordan and Egypt to pave the way for a U.S.-owned “international unbelievable place”—a shimmering “Riviera of the Middle East.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled support for the idea, but neighboring Arab nations have flatly rejected the notion of absorbing Gaza’s population.
As tensions simmer, Trump’s latest outburst leaves no doubt: he’s playing hardball, and the clock is ticking for Hamas.
