The FBI has been a busy agency lately. The Trump admin has them going after countless criminals who are walking free in this country.

And the FBI has announced a manhunt for a violent criminal who committed this heinous crime.

FBI Looking for Military Veteran in Violent Attack on Texas ICE Facility

On a night meant for celebration, the Fourth of July turned violent at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. The FBI is now hunting for Benjamin Hanil Song, a 32-year-old Dallas resident and former US Marine Corps reservist, accused of playing a role in a brazen ambush targeting law enforcement at the ICE facility.

Song, identified as the 12th suspect in Friday’s attack, allegedly unleashed gunfire from two AR-15-style rifles, targeting two correctional officers and an Alvarado police officer, according to a criminal complaint gathered by Fox News Digital.

He now faces grave charges: three counts of attempted m*rder of a federal officer and three counts of shooting off a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime.

On Wednesday evening, a Blue Alert buzzed across Texas phones, warning residents that Song is “wanted for involvement in the serious injury of a law enforcement officer.” The FBI has labeled him armed and dangerous, offering a $25,000 reward for information that will lead to his arrest and conviction.

Details of the Ambush

The complaint details a chilling scene that unfolded just after 10:30 p.m. A group of 10 to 12 individuals, dressed in black military-style clothing, launched a synchronized assault on the detention center.

Some fired fireworks at the facility, while others vandalized vehicles and a guard structure with graffiti. When correctional officers dialed 911 to report the suspicious activity, an Alvarado police officer responded—only to be shot in the neck by a suspect located in the woods.

Across the street, another attacker fired dozens of rounds at unarmed correctional officers who went outside, according to the complaint.

Firearms and Evidence

Authorities say Song purchased four firearms linked to the shooting, including two AR-style rifles found at the scene. One was fitted with a binary trigger, allowing for faster firing than a typical semiautomatic weapon.

Searches of residences and vehicles also uncovered additional weapons, including another AR-15-style rifle.

Song remains at large despite law enforcement’s efforts to apprehend him. Two days after the attack, a white Mercedes-Benz registered to one of his relatives was spotted near another suspect’s home, further tying him to the incident.

Additional Suspects

Ten others face charges for their roles in the attack: Cameron Arnold, Savanna Batten, Nathan Baumann, Zachary Evetts, Joy Gibson, Bradford Morris, Maricela Rueda, Seth Sikes, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto.

Another individual has been charged with obstruction of justice and conspiracy for trying to destroy or conceal evidence, per prosecutors.

As the search for Song continues, the FBI calls on the public for help, stressing the urgency of capturing a suspect they consider a significant threat.
