Trump is the oldest inaugurated president in U.S. history. For that reason, his health needs to be watched closely.
And now Donald Trump’s health exam results stunned everyone into silence.
Trump’s Routine Checkup Yields Positive Results
President Donald Trump underwent a scheduled medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, where his physician reported that the 79-year-old leader remains in robust condition following a series of assessments.
The visit lasted approximately three hours and included lab tests and preventive health screenings. Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor, outlined the findings in a one-page memo, stating that the president “remains in exceptional health” and demonstrates “strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.”
Barbabella also confirmed Trump received a yearly flu shot and a COVID booster vaccine, emphasizing the president’s commitment to routine preventive care.
Key Health Metrics and Prior Disclosures
The memo highlighted Trump’s cardiovascular strength, noting that his cardiac age—assessed through ECG as a measure of heart vitality—is notably lower than expected.
“His cardiac age — a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG — was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age,” the document stated. “He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction.”
Barbabella added that the president “continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.”
This update follows a July evaluation addressing media inquiries about visible bruising on Trump’s hand and mild leg swelling. In the interest of transparency, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared details from Barbabella at the time.
“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs,” Leavitt said. “So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today.”
The assessment revealed “chronic venous insufficiency” in Trump’s legs, described as a “benign, common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70,” with ultrasounds showing “mild swelling” that was evaluated out of caution, according to The Daily Wire.
Biden’s Ongoing Cancer Treatment
Separately, former President Joe Biden, 82, continues his treatment for advanced prostate cancer, which was diagnosed in May after spreading from the prostate to his bones.
A spokesperson detailed that Biden is undergoing a five-week course of radiation therapy combined with hormone treatment, including an oral medication form. “As part of a treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,” the spokesperson said.
Biden’s team reports that the former president is “doing well” amid the regimen, per NBC News.
