The Left doesn’t want the president to succeed. That’s why they spend the majority of their time attacking him.

And Democrats are concocting a vicious assault to stop Trump dead in his tracks.

Washington is buzzing again with the latest liberal outrage, this time aimed squarely at President Donald Trump’s ambitious plan to add a stunning new ballroom to the White House. Democrats, ever the party of obstruction, are pushing hard to slap restrictions on private donations funding the project, claiming it’s all about bribery.

The president kicked off this exciting venture back in October, announcing that construction was underway on the ballroom. It means saying goodbye to parts of the historic East Wing, but the payoff is a privately funded masterpiece estimated at $300 million. That’s a jump from the initial $200 million figure floated in July when the idea first hit the headlines. Trump, true to his word, is keeping taxpayer dollars out of it, relying on generous patriots to foot the bill.

Yet, here come the Democrats, sniffing around like they always do, insisting that donors might be angling for favors from the administration. They’ve rolled out new legislation to clamp down on these contributions, painting a picture of shady deals. It’s the same old song and dance from the left, trying to tie Trump’s hands while he works to restore the people’s house to its rightful splendor.

The White House did its part by releasing a donor list in October, but that’s not enough for the skeptics. Figures like Sen. Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts and Sen. Adam Schiff from California are demanding more oversight, griping that not every donor is named and some prefer to stay anonymous. It’s as if transparency is only good when it suits their agenda.

Big names have stepped up to support the ballroom, including tech giants like Google, Apple, Meta Platforms, Amazon, and Microsoft, plus defense powerhouse Lockheed Martin. Lawmakers on the left are howling that these contributions could lead to a “pay-to-play” setup, where companies butter up the administration for special treatment.

Take Google, for instance. They recently coughed up a $22 million settlement to Trump over his lawsuit against YouTube for kicking him off the platform after the Jan. 6 Capitol events. Google owns YouTube, and they’re also tangled in a Justice Department antitrust fight. Democrats are spinning this as proof that donors are buying influence, but it smells more like sour grapes from folks who hate seeing Trump win.

“Billionaires and giant corporations with business in front of this administration are lining up to dump millions into Trump’s new ballroom — and Trump is showing them where to sign on the dotted line,” Senator Warren stated on Tuesday.

“Americans shouldn’t have to wonder whether President Trump is building a ballroom to facilitate a pay-to-play scheme for political favors. My new bill will put an end to what looks like bribery in plain sight.”

Warren isn’t going it alone; she’s teamed up with Rep. Robert Garcia from California, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. They’ve got backup from Schiff, Sen. Richard Blumenthal from Connecticut, and a handful of others cosponsoring this ridiculous legislation.

The bill they’re hawking would slam the door on donations from anyone or any group with a supposed conflict of interest. It goes further, banning the president, vice president, their families, or staff from even asking for contributions. These Democrats want to micromanage everything, turning generosity into a crime.

Once a donation gets the green light from the National Park Service and the Office of Government Ethics directors, the legislation would forbid putting donors’ names on display as a thank-you. Plus, it’d slap a two-year ban on those donors lobbying the feds, as if helping beautify the White House makes you a villain.

The measure doesn’t stop there—it’d ensure any leftover funds can’t go to personal use or benefit the first family, second family, and their teams.

Donors would also have to spill the beans on any meetings with government officials in the year after giving, and anonymous gifts? Forget about it; the bill would outlaw them entirely.

“President Trump has put a ‘for sale’ sign on the White House—soliciting hundreds of millions of dollars from special interests to fund his $300 million vanity project,” Blumenthal said on Tuesday.

“Our measure is a direct response to Trump’s ballroom boondoggle. With commonsense reforms to how the federal government can use private donations, our legislation prevents President Trump and future presidents from using construction projects as vehicles for corruption and personal vanity.”

The White House isn’t buying into this nonsense. They’ve brushed off the Democrats’ bill as just more noise from the haters. “President Trump is making the White House beautiful and giving it the glory it deserves,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle told Fox News Digital earlier this week.

“Only people with a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome would find a problem with that.”

This ballroom is just one piece of Trump’s vision for a renewed White House in his second term. He’s already added elegant gold touches to the Oval Office and upgraded the Rose Garden with fresh paving. These moves honor America’s heritage, but to the left, it’s all a “boondoggle.”
