He emphasized the statistical likelihood of life beyond our planet, given how massive space truly is.
Yet, Obama was firm on one point: the vast distances between stars make it unlikely we’ve had any alien visitors.
“But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!” he said.
During the actual interview with Cohen, he addressed the infamous Area 51 rumors head-on. That secretive Nevada base has fueled conspiracy theories for decades, with claims of captured UFOs and alien tech being dissected by the military.
“‘Uh, they’re real, but I haven’t seen them,’ the former president responded,” according to Breitbart News reporter Lowell Cauffiel.
“He then quickly addressed speculation around Nevada’s Area 51, a secretive military test site that has long been claimed to contain downed extraterrestrials and their aircraft, which are purportedly being reverse-engineered.”
The interview took an even more intriguing turn when Cohen pressed Obama on his top curiosity upon entering the Oval Office. The former commander-in-chief revealed his burning question: “Where are the aliens?”
