DeSantis and Trump used to be election rivals. Now things have changed.
Because Ron DeSantis just handed President Trump a victory on a silver platter.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis delivered a powerful victory for President Donald Trump and the America First movement by signing legislation Monday that renames Palm Beach International Airport in his honor.
The airport will officially become the President Donald J. Trump International Airport this July, according to the AP.
Located close to the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate, the airport now stands as a permanent tribute to the man who helped put Florida on the map as a conservative powerhouse.
Eric Trump took to X to hail the decision, thanking Governor DeSantis, Attorney General James Uthmeier, bill sponsor Rep. Meg Weinberger, as well as “the overwhelming majority in the Florida House!”
The state House backed the measure with an 81-30 vote that fell along party lines, proving once again that Republicans know how to deliver for their voters.
In the Senate, lawmakers approved the bill 25-11, again on party lines, showing unified conservative resolve in the Sunshine State.
This renaming is no empty gesture. It cements Trump’s legacy in the very place where he built his Southern White House and continues to fight for the nation he loves.
The move now awaits final clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration along with a formal agreement between Palm Beach County and the trademark holder to allow commercial use of the newly named airport.
The airport overhaul comes on the heels of another local triumph: a portion of road running from the airport straight to President Trump’s estate was recently rechristened Donald J. Trump Boulevard.
Together these honors create a fitting presidential corridor that greets travelers with the name of the leader who delivered record jobs, secure borders, and national pride.
President Trump poured his heart into Florida, and Florida is pouring its gratitude right back.
This is what real populist governance looks like, putting American heroes first instead of bending to political correctness or corporate boardrooms.
While blue-state politicians tear down statues and rename streets to appease radical activists, Florida builds monuments to the president who made America great again.
The contrast could not be clearer. One side obsesses over division and cancel culture. The other celebrates strength, success, and the will of the people.
