Jeffries is still defending his awful rhetoric. It’s not stopping anytime soon.
And Hakeem Jeffries lobbed a heinous assault at this top Trump official.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wasted no time launching a vicious attack on White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt after she dared to call out the Democrats’ toxic habit of inflaming violent passions against President Trump.
The shooting incident near the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where gunshots forced the evacuation of President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and top Cabinet members, should have been a wake-up call for everyone in Washington.
Instead, Jeffries turned the moment into another partisan assault, proving once again that the left prioritizes power plays over public safety.
In a recent press conference, Jeffries lashed out, calling Leavitt a “stone-cold liar” and claiming that she read “talking points” while criticizing statements Democrats had made.
His outburst came in response to Leavitt’s straightforward demand that Americans tone down the dangerous rhetoric poisoning our political discourse.
A reporter pressed Jeffries on his own words, asking: “I know you said you stand by your comment, but at the same time you have been a subject of threats as well, so, with respect to this comment about maximum warfare, even if it’s about redistricting, why not tone down the language here, in this moment?”
Jeffries doubled down without hesitation. “I think that what’s interesting to me, as you’ve pointed out, is that the so-called White House press secretary, who’s a disgrace, she’s a stone-cold liar, had the nerve to stand up there and read talking points, being critical of statements — all taken out of context, that Democrats have made,” he stated.
He then said that Leavitt didn’t make note of comments from “MAGA extremists.”
This deflection exposes the heart of the problem. While a gunman opened fire just outside an event attended by the nation’s top leaders, Democrats like Jeffries refuse to examine how their nonstop demonization of Trump might be planting seeds of chaos in unstable minds.
Instead of self-reflection, they scream about context and point fingers at conservatives.
Karoline Leavitt had struck the right chord earlier that day. She urged the country to “re-commit ourselves, as a country to toning down the rhetoric and unifying around what makes our country great,” echoing President Trump’s own words from Saturday night.
Her warning was clear and urgent: constant hysterical attacks have consequences.
“When you have mentally disturbed individuals across the country who are listening to this crazed rhetoric about the president, day after day after day, it inspires them to do crazy things,” Leavitt said.
She rightly noted that the problem runs far deeper than just the media echo chamber. The entire Democrat Party apparatus has spent years convincing their base that Donald Trump represents an existential threat to democracy itself.
