Iran just got a leg up in the war according to this top Democrat

The war with Iran has been going on for several months now. Most Americans want it to end.

But Iran just got a leg up in the war according to this top Democrat.

In a stunning moment of candor on MS NOW, Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy let slip exactly why the American people rejected the old Washington playbook on Iran. While attempting to bash President Donald Trump’s decisive military moves, Murphy painted a picture that should have every patriot asking why our so-called leaders spent years coddling a terror-sponsoring regime instead of confronting it.

The Connecticut Democrat appeared Tuesday on the network’s All In program and delivered an analysis dripping with defeatism. According to Murphy, Trump’s operation has somehow left Iran in a stronger position. Yet his own words reveal more about elite panic than any real strategic disaster.

Murphy declared, “I think Trump has grown bored of this. I think he has dug himself a hole that he doesn’t know how to get out of. You know, effectively now they have made this commitment and they are going to stay in this war.”

“This blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Remember, it is now not just the Iranians that are blockading ships coming out of the strait, but it’s the United States, too. Until Iran agrees to a nuclear deal that is better than the one that Obama signed, that is not likely ever going to happen.”

This is the same party that once cheered Obama’s disastrous nuclear giveaway to the mullahs. Now they lecture Americans about consequences while the regime faces real pressure for the first time in years.

The senator doubled down on his bizarre assessment. He insisted Iran stands “two to three times more powerful today than they were when this war started.”

Host Chris Hayes even pushed back slightly, asking for confirmation of such an extraordinary claim.

Murphy pressed forward anyway. He argued that global powers now must petition Tehran for passage through vital waterways.

Well, I mean, everyone has to come to Tehran today to beg for their ships to be let out of the Gulf. Not small nations. Big nations. Right? The Chinese, the Indians — the countries have to show up to Iran to plead their case as to why their ships should be led through. And that’s probably going to be, how things work for the foreseeable future,” Murphy stated.

“And so Iran was really a regional power. Why I say they’re two or three times more powerful today is that by putting them in a position where they could close the strait, we have now made them a global power. Now every country has to come to Iran, and cut a deal in order to let their ships go through. That’s the kind of power that Iran didn’t have or couldn’t have imagined until we put them in this position.”

Democrats like Murphy cannot hide their preference for the pre-Trump status quo. They preferred quiet enrichment of the ayatollahs over bold action that disrupts terror funding networks.

Their outrage reveals more about loyalty to failed multilateral deals than genuine concern for American strength.

Murphy’s comments expose the deep state mindset perfectly. They view American strength as inherently destabilizing while treating Iranian provocations as inevitable facts of life. Patriots reject this surrender.

The coming months will test whether the Iranian regime cracks under sustained pressure or finds new sponsors to prop it up.

Either way, the United States has signaled it will no longer tolerate business as usual with a government that chants “death to America” while building nuclear capabilities.
