The left can’t hide from this scandal any longer. They have to face it.
And a Democrat congressman made a confession you have to see.
Rep. Gabe Amo of Rhode Island took to CNN to defend the party line, downplaying serious concerns about their pick for Maine’s Senate seat while focusing on taking down Sen. Susan Collins.
The controversy swirls around Graham Platner, whose background reportedly raised multiple warning signs long before this week’s developments.
Yet Amo appeared unfazed, insisting the issues were nothing fresh. His comments laid bare a political machine more concerned with power plays than protecting everyday Americans.
Amo stated on a recent episode of CNN News Central, “Graham Platner was a series of red flags. What we heard earlier this week was not new.”
Instead of addressing those red flags head-on for the sake of Maine voters, Amo quickly pivoted to what really matters to his party: raw political warfare.
“Look, the most important takeaways for me now are: One, I stand with those who made very serious allegations. We have to believe those victims and survivors. That’s important. The second thing is, we have to be very clear that the mission is stopping Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) from continuing to be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s agenda,” Amo stated.
This blunt admission shows Democrats’ hierarchy of values. They preach empathy for survivors until it conflicts with their electoral goals.
Then it’s all about dismantling any resistance to the radical left’s vision by targeting figures like Collins.
Amo continued by listing Collins’ supposed sins:
“She voted for the big, ugly law that cut billions from our healthcare system, from food assistance, and is supporting ICE’s terror in communities across this country.”
For working-class families tired of open borders flooding communities with chaos, Amo’s attack on ICE rings hollow.
Law-abiding Americans want safety in their neighborhoods, not imported crime and strained resources.
Democrats’ willingness to smear border agents as terrorists exposes their disconnect from heartland realities.
The congressman’s strategy boils down to mobilizing Maine voters against Collins purely because she refuses to serve as a full-time obstacle to Trump’s agenda.
This isn’t about good governance—it’s about revenge and obstruction.
