Joe Biden has been an embarrassment on the world stage. But now he’s burning bridges.
And Biden threw a major ally under the bus in a stunning act of betrayal.
According to a new story, President Biden has repeatedly branded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an “a-hole” and complained that the PM is “giving him hell” amid their confrontations over Gaza.
Sources have previously stated that Biden referred to Netanyahu as a “f-king bad guy” when discussing their rising tensions over Israel’s assault of the Gaza Strip.
The 81-year-old U.S. president, whose re-election campaign is jeopardized in key swing states due to opposition to Netanyahu’s war against Hamas, has said in private conversations, including with party donors, that the Israeli leader has been hammering him over the White House’s criticism of aspects of Israel’s assault, according to NBC.
According to various accounts, Biden referred to Netanyahu as an “a-hole” at least three times.
A source said Biden has had enough of the war. Israel is reportedly making plans to take out Rafah, which is Hamas’ last stronghold of control and is close to the border with Egypt.
This would require a ground invasion, which would force many of the area’s two million residents to move south after earlier Israeli operations.
The White House has publicly stated for months that Biden opposes Hamas’ demand for an immediate and permanent cease-fire following the Palestinian terror group’s surprise attack on Israel on October 7 — though aides say the president welcomes briefer humanitarian pauses in the conflict.
However, a source told NBC that Biden “just feels like this is enough” and the conflict “has to stop.”
Biden claimed in dramatic public remarks Thursday that the Israeli operation was “over the top.”
According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, more than 28,000 people have died in the conflict that began with the October massacre, in which terrorists killed over 1,200 people in southern Israel and kidnapped approximately 250 more.
As of last week, the White House estimated that “about six” U.S. nationals were still being held captive by Hamas.
Biden’s support for Israel has been questioned by large crowds yelling “Genocide Joe” in major U.S. cities, notably outside the White House, and his public appearances are frequently stopped by similar heckling.
Polls show that younger voters, Arab Americans, and Muslim Americans opposed Biden’s previous support for Israel in the conflict, and some surveys suggest that the latter groups may abandon Biden in droves in the November election when the president is expected to face former President Donald Trump.
The White House did not return the New York Post’s request for comment on Monday’s ABC report.
In a response to NBC, however, the National Security Council did not directly challenge Biden’s usage of the phrase.
“The president has been clear where he disagrees with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but this is a decades-long relationship that is respectful in public and in private.”
