Joe Biden has a crisis on his hands. Now he has tossed his administration to the wolves.
And the White House threw Border Patrol under the bus in one shocking act of betrayal.
The southern border is a mess of epic proportions.
Never before has this country been invaded by foreign nationals on such a scale.
And the Biden administration likes to pretend that there is nothing going on.
“There’s nothing to see here,” they constantly say without so many words, as they pretend the average American is as shallow and moronic as their average voter.
But the reality is far from that – according to Pew Research, 78% of Americans believe the southern border crisis is either a major problem or a full blown crisis.
Biden knows he can’t just pretend there’s nothing going on forever, that’s why he embarked a trip rife with political theater to the border.
The president’s act will only go so far, however, as he snubbed the most important person he could, the leader of the national Border Patrol union.
During a news conference, a reporter asked Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre why National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd was turned down by Biden but received an invitation from Donald Trump.
“So look, I will have more to share on what Thursday’s gonna look like. We’ll have more to share on who’s going to be joining the president,” Jean-Pierre replied.
Trump had previously stated that he would visit Eagle Pass, Texas, on Thursday to contrast his vision for border security with Biden’s refusal to do so. Later, Biden announced that he would visit Brownsville, Texas, on the same day as Trump.
Jean-Pierre pointed out that Judd backed the Senate-passed pro-migration and foreign aid package, which Biden also supported. The bill provided a wage increase for Judd’s members.
Nonetheless, Judd remains a Biden opponent, even advocating for the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
During a Monday Fox News appearance, he was blunt in his criticism of the president’s lack of action on border security, claiming Biden is merely looking for an election year picture opportunity.
“He had three years to do what he needed to do to secure the border. He had three years to put policies in place,” Judd said. “Now we’re only eight months from an election and now it looks like he’s interested, and he’s only interested in it because it’s self-serving and he wants to save himself.”
Judd stated that if Biden wanted to, he could stop the present migrant flow with his existing authority.
“But the truth of the matter is, yes, he could stop this flow tomorrow,” Judd said.
Regarding Trump’s invitation to Judd, Jean-Pierre declined to respond.
