No one can say Biden didn’t have it coming. But no one thought it would go down quite like this.
And now the White House was taken by storm and Biden is freaking out.
A major Jewish advocacy group is planning a demonstration at the White House to protest President Biden’s reversal in stance regarding Israel’s incursion in Gaza.
The Orthodox Union, which represents over 1,000 synagogues in the United States, is gathering 180,000 letters to be delivered to the White House on April 3 – 180 days after the Israel-Hamas conflict began.
“180,000 letters will be hand-delivered to the White House urging the President to support Israel without undermining its war effort, take meaningful steps to combat antisemitism and secure the release of Israeli and American hostages,” according to a report by Fox News Digital.
The Orthodox Union, one of the largest Jewish advocacy organizations in the country, is gathering letters for the rally from its network of synagogues across the country.
Orthodox Union is also working with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), Chabad on Campus, the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, Olami, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, and others to meet the 180,000 quota.
“We urge the Biden administration to stay the course and support Israel until the Hamas threat is eliminated,” said Orthodox Union Executive Director of Public Policy Nathan Diament.
He went on to say, “We trust this initiative will bring much-needed attention to the urgency of ending the suffering of the hostages, bringing them home, and completely removing the threat of Hamas.”
The Orthodox Union initially supported the Biden administration following the terrorist assaults on Israel on October 7.
However, the organization has grown increasingly concerned about the government’s qualified support for ongoing offensives in Gaza, which recently resulted in the United States abstaining from a UN Security Council resolution calling for an urgent ceasefire.
Despite strong humanitarian objections from the Biden administration, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed his plans to assault Gaza’s Rafah city.
“We have been clear in multiple conversations and in every way that any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake,” Vice President Kamala Harris told ABC when asked about the ramifications of invading Rafah.
“Let me tell you something: I have studied the maps. There’s nowhere for those folks to go.”
When asked if she was ruling out consequences for starting the invasion despite U.S. objections, Harris responded she was “ruling out nothing.”
This comes as Democrats remain split on the matter of Palestine and Israel.
According to Gallup, 49% of Democrats sympathize more with the Palestinians than they do Israel.
There are, however, still 38% who sympathize with Israel more than Palestine.
That leaves 13% who are unsure. Meanwhile, 54% of Americans as a whole support Israel more compared to 31% for Palestine.
Regardless of where you stand on sending aid to Israel, it is baffling that people support Islamic terrorists more than Israel. And the major gains for Palestine have been seen almost exclusively by Democrats.
