Biden’s brain completely shut down in the middle of this press conference

It looks like the president got away from his wranglers yet again. And they couldn’t be angrier.

Because Biden’s brain completely shut down in the middle of this press conference.

President Biden thanked “Czechoslovakia” on Monday for its backing of Ukraine against Russia’s two-year-old invasion, alluding to a country that no longer exists.

Biden, 81, was hosting Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala in the Oval Office and promptly corrected himself to state the “Czech Republic” – another faux pas, as Prague has requested that the country be named “Czechia” since its modern inception on New Year’s Day 1993, and it became the official name in 2016.

“I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your outspokenness and the support of the people of Czechoslovakia — the Czech Republic, with defending the people of Ukraine,” Biden said in a statement.

Watch below (the gaffe is at 1:10):

The separation of Czechia and Slovakia brought an end to 75 years of Czechoslovak statehood, which had been punctuated by six years of Nazi occupation during WWII and more than four decades of Communist administration as a Soviet satellite.

At the time of the dissolution, France’s president was François Mitterrand, and Germany’s chancellor was Helmut Kohl, with whom Biden claimed to have just spoken to in February, making three gaffes that raised concerns about his mental acuity.

Mitterrand left office in 1995 and died the following year.

Kohl was chancellor until 1998 and died in 2017, making it impossible for Biden to speak with them about the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol violence, as he recalled.

Biden’s other recent gaffes include telling an audience in the Rose Garden last week that voters should support him for a second four-year term because he lives in the “20th century.”

Such blunders occur while surveys consistently reveal widespread bipartisan worry among voters about the octogenarian’s mental capacity for a second four-year term.

According to a New York Times poll issued last month, 73% of registered voters believe Biden is too old to be president, compared to only 42% for former President Donald Trump, 77, who is seeking a rematch against Biden in November.

Biden is already the oldest U.S. president ever, and he will be 86 if he serves a full second term in 2029.

But the problem isn’t even the age of Biden.

All of us have known a family member or family friend who stays with it through their 90s.

And most Americans would rather put someone like that in office rather than Biden.

The problem, of course, is that Biden flubs seemingly every sentence he says.

A mistake here and there is a mistake, no doubt.

But the number of gaffes he’s had is a pattern. It’s a pattern we all notice. And it’s a pattern we all are worried about.
