The southern border has been a mess ever since Biden stepped into office. But there’s something even more sinister happening that many don’t know about.
And now Border Patrol uncovered a terrifying reality at the border no one saw coming.
A study claims that under President Joe Biden, an ISIS-affiliated network of human smuggling has transported more than 400 illegal aliens into the United States.
According to NBC News, various U.S. authorities verified that the Department of Homeland Security had identified the individuals who were brought into the country via the Islamic terrorist network.
150 of the people were reportedly caught, but over 50 people’s locations remain unknown as federal law enforcement agents try to find and apprehend them.
The remaining undocumented immigrants are dispersed over 17 states, according to the report, and their arrest is probably imminent.
The Biden administration attempted to take credit for apprehending the illegal aliens, stating that they were acting out of “an abundance of caution.”
The report claimed that as a result of Biden’s open borders policies, which created a national security and immigration catastrophe, illegal aliens crossed the southern border.
The illegal aliens were all released into the United States since there was no evidence linking them to terrorism when they were approached by U.S. Border Patrol.
Illegal aliens from countries where ISIS operates are unlikely to have information in any database linking them to terrorism because the countries are often third-world with little-to-no infrastructure for tracking terrorist suspects.
Furthermore, even if the countries had the knowledge, many of them would be unlikely to share it with the United States, which they regard as an enemy state.
“The fact that the whereabouts were unknown is clearly alarming,” said former FBI counterterrorism section chief Christopher O’Leary.
“I believe the [U.S.] is scrambling to locate these individuals, and using the immigration charges is not uncommon. They are in violation of that law. And if you need to take somebody off the street, that’s a good approach to do it.”
The revelation comes after eight ISIS terrorist suspects were apprehended in places throughout the United States earlier this month after illegally crossing the southern border.
In a statement responding to the article, Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) contrasted Biden with former President Donald Trump.
“While President Trump destroyed ISIS and its leader, Joe Biden opened the door at the border and let hundreds of ISIS-connected illegal aliens into our nation,” he said.
“No one should be surprised that the most incompetent administration in American history allowed terrorists into our communities and endangered our national security. The United States desperately needs a return to peace through strength, a secure border, and President Trump in office.”
According to House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-TN), “In President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ America, border security and immigration enforcement have become a punchline.”
“There’s literally no one President Biden won’t turn away—including illegal aliens from problematic countries smuggled in by networks connected to ISIS,” he continued.
“Every alarm is flashing red, and my committee has long warned that this administration’s open-borders agenda is bringing bad actors into the homeland in droves. DHS has now admitted yet again that this is true. This is unacceptable, preventable, and absolutely terrifying.”
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said: “The Biden administration is so concerned with the optics of detaining individuals who willingly broke U.S. law that it has dismantled our vetting system, releasing violent criminals and terrorist suspects into our communities.”
“Now 50 individuals with ties to ISIS are roaming free in our country, and we have no idea where they are or what they are planning,” McCaul added.
“To put it simply, President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have turned our nation into a ticking time bomb. We need new leadership in the White House before another disaster strikes.”
House Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) described Biden’s presidency as “our gravest national security threat,” noting that it only “took 19 terrorists to commit 9/11.”
