Trump did a lot to help this country. Even the Left has to admit it sometimes.

But Kamala Harris endorsed one Trump policy that left Democrats dumbfounded.

In a surprising shift, Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris has pledged to make building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border a top priority if she wins in November — a stance long championed by her Republican rival, former President Donald Trump.

For years, Harris staunchly opposed the border wall, using harsh rhetoric to criticize both the wall and its supporters. Now, her sudden reversal has left many questioning her consistency and principles.

Critics wasted no time in labeling Harris’ newfound support for the wall as a blatant “flip-flop.”

Axios broke the news Tuesday morning, reporting, “Harris pledges to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the southern border.”

This is the same wall that Harris once opposed and even called “un-American” during Trump’s administration, Axios highlighted:

It’s the latest example of Harris flip-flopping on her past liberal positions such as supporting Medicare for All and banning fracking — proposals that aides say she now is against.

Harris is embracing a more hawkish immigration policy as Donald Trump’s campaign spends tens of millions of dollars attacking her about the border.

In an attempt to rebrand her image, the Harris campaign released an ad claiming that the Democratic hopeful “has spent decades fighting violent crime.”

The ad, titled “Tougher,” paints Harris as a hard-nosed border enforcer: “As a border-state prosecutor, she took on drug cartels and jailed gang members for smuggling weapons and drugs across the border.”

“As vice president, she backed the toughest border control bill in decades,” the ad boasted, referring to a controversial piece of legislation that many critics argue failed to adequately address the escalating border crisis.

The campaign went on to promise that, if elected, Harris would “hire thousands more border agents” and “crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking.”

“Fixing the border is tough. So is Kamala Harris,” the ad concluded.

But not everyone is convinced by Harris’ sudden tough-on-border stance. Mike Howell, executive director for The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, pointed out over the weekend that the ad prominently featured images of the Trump administration’s border wall.

Former acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan didn’t hold back in his criticism of Harris’ apparent about-face on border security during an interview with The National Desk.

“Vice President Harris will say and do anything, and she will change her positions on policies like a chameleon … to get elected,” Morgan stated. He went on to say that Harris’ ad “gives a new meaning to the word, ‘hypocrisy.’”

Morgan also reminded the public that just four years ago, Harris “stood shoulder-to-shoulder with then-candidate Biden calling for the end of the border wall, saying that it was a waste of taxpayer dollars and it was ineffective.”

“It was a lie then,” Morgan emphasized, “but they did it because they thought it was to their political advantage.”

He continued:

And now, the past three-and-a-half years they did exactly that. They realize now that every single poll she’s upside down with respect to their border security policy.

What she does? Does a 180 degrees and flip flops and now actually shows the picture … of the very tool and resource that she took away from the border control agents, making their job more difficult. Now all of the sudden, she’s acting like she’s for the wall.
