If Donald Trump gets in office, heads will roll. Democrats are doing everything they can to protect the bureaucratic state.
And now the Biden-Harris admin made this move to entrench the D.C. swamp forever.
The Biden-Harris administration seems to be making a calculated move to “Trump-proof” the Department of Justice (DOJ) by sneaking in permanent appointees to key federal positions, a revelation that should alarm anyone concerned with fairness in the government.
According to documents obtained by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, the administration is using an “obscure hiring authority” to sidestep the usual merit-based hiring processes. This sneaky maneuver is aimed at filling DOJ positions that could undermine any future Trump presidency, should he win in 2025.
The DOJ is reportedly exploiting Schedule A hiring authority to pack hundreds of attorney and judge roles in the career civil service, bypassing the competitive selection process.
PPT founder Michael Chamberlain, in an interview with Fox News Digital, warned that this approach threatens the very fabric of our democratic system.
“The president is elected by the people,” Chamberlain emphasized, “and any attempt—especially from within the government—to undermine the decision-making authority of elected officials is deeply undemocratic.”
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) notes that while Schedule A is intended for hiring individuals with disabilities or specific roles like chaplains and scientists, the Biden-Harris administration is using it to entrench their loyalists in positions that will outlast their term.
Although federal law bars Schedule A appointments from being “policymaking or confidential,” the administration is staffing highly “politicized” offices, such as the Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD), which is instrumental in pushing their radical environmental agenda.
The documents reveal that more than 150 attorneys were quietly placed in the DOJ’s Anti-Trust Division, along with over 100 immigration judges.
These immigration judges have the power to decide who stays in the United States and who must leave, a role that directly aligns with the administration’s lenient immigration policies.
PPT pointed out that the Biden-Harris administration’s use of Schedule A to appoint these judges, without going through the usual merit-based system, raises serious concerns about the politicization of what should be impartial roles.
In a further sign of their power grab, the administration also used Schedule A to hire attorneys for the ENRD.
This office is tasked with enforcing environmental laws that align with Biden and Harris’s climate agenda, including their so-called “environmental justice” goals.
PPT noted that these hires are intended to protect the administration’s policies even if a future Trump administration — or any other Republican — tries to reverse them.
Chamberlain also highlighted the lack of transparency in this process, noting that several offices, including the ATF and the Civil Rights Division, refused to share records, citing privacy exemptions.
Earlier this year, the Biden-Harris administration made it even harder to fire federal workers — a move that many see as a way to protect their entrenched bureaucrats.
Biden touted this rule as “a step toward combatting corruption and partisan interference,” but in reality, it shields their loyalists from accountability.
This comes in response to Trump’s 2020 executive order, Schedule F, which sought to reclassify thousands of federal employees and reduce their job security.
The Biden-Harris administration’s new regulations bar career civil servants from being reclassified as political appointees or at-will workers, making it nearly impossible to remove them from their positions.
In typical fashion, the White House did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment before publication.
