Because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris just made an extremely moronic announcement.

Biden-Harris White House Claims To Be The Most Successful Admin In U.S. History After Historic Loss

In the wake of Vice President Kamala Harris’ significant defeat to President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, the White House issued a memo on Monday touting the accomplishments of the Biden-Harris administration. The memo, which highlighted key achievements from the past four years, portrayed the administration as one of the most successful in U.S. history.

The document outlined how President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris took office amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and a struggling economy. Despite these obstacles, the memo claimed, the Biden-Harris administration had led the nation to significant recovery.

“Under President Biden and Vice President Harris’ leadership, 16 million jobs have been created, and we’ve gotten women and people of color back in the labor force at record rates,” the memo stated. It also noted that “a record 20 million new business applications have been filed” and that inflation had decreased to near pre-pandemic levels.

The White House credited its success to legislative actions aimed at rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure, making the largest investment in climate action in history, lowering prescription drug costs, and fostering a manufacturing renaissance. In addition, the memo cited unnamed “business leaders” who described the U.S. economy as “among the best performing economies” in decades.

However, recent economic data painted a less favorable picture. According to the Labor Department’s October jobs report, only 12,000 jobs were created in the month, a sharp contrast to the expected 120,000 and the lowest job growth in four years. The unemployment rate remained at 4.1%, in line with expectations. Meanwhile, inflation continued to burden many Americans. The consumer price index, a key measure of inflation, showed an increase of 2.6% from the previous year, reflecting a rise in everyday costs such as gasoline, groceries, and rent.

Days before the election, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt seized on the disappointing jobs report, calling it a “catastrophe” and asserting that it demonstrated how Vice President Harris had “broken our economy.”

On Election Day, voters appeared to deliver a clear verdict on the administration’s policies. President-elect Trump secured a decisive victory, winning 312 electoral votes to Harris’ 226, while also surpassing her by more than 2 million votes in the popular vote. This outcome seemed to show a clear discontent with the economic situation under the Biden-Harris administration, despite the White House’s optimistic portrayal.

The loss Donald Trump handed to Kamala Harris and the Democrats was historic on a number of levels. Counties all over the country overwhelmingly shifted in favor of voting Donald Trump this go round, with very few areas throughout the nation showing any favorability to Kamala Harris.

There’s simply no way around the fact that countless Americans weren’t buying that the Kamala Harris and Joe Biden administration had done enough to turn around the economy that had been struggling ever since the 2020 pandemic panic. The way to turn that around was not to throw money at the wall, which is exactly what the Biden-Harris administration tried to do.

If anything, that made the eventuality of inflation as a result of the pandemic spending spree much, much worse than it normally would have been. That’s just basic economics, and the American people are not blind to that reality. They can claim all they want that the Biden-Harris administration has been a big success, but the American people aren’t feeling that and they didn’t vote that way at all.
