The Left are turning on each other. They’re looking within for someone to blame for Donald Trump’s presidential victory.
And this powerful Democrat officially kicks Kamala Harris to the curb with one statement.
Kamala Harris’ Campaign Collapse Sparks Donor Outrage: “Disqualifies Her Forever”
Vice President Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful presidential campaign, which reportedly burned through a staggering $1.5 billion in just over 100 days, has drawn fierce criticism from Democratic megadonor John Morgan. In a candid interview with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Morgan declared Harris’ failure to secure the presidency a permanent stain on her political future
“I think this disqualifies her forever,” Morgan said bluntly. “If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America.”
Harris’ campaign faced scrutiny not only for its loss but also for its lavish spending. Reports indicate that nearly half a billion dollars went to advertising, including $900,000 to display the vice president’s image on the Las Vegas Sphere — a costly effort that didn’t even deliver a victory in Nevada.
Morgan described the financial mismanagement as akin to a “Mad Max”-style plundering, where ad buyers, consultants, and talent cashed in at the expense of donors.
“All of a sudden, everybody’s got the key to the candy store,” Morgan said. “The money starts pouring in. It wasn’t pouring in for Harris, it was pouring in against Trump.”
The Florida-based founder of the Morgan & Morgan law firm didn’t mince words about the broader implications of the campaign’s failure. He pointed to a lack of trust from donors who now question where their money went. “She cannot be trusted with the money, and the donors are going to be, like, ‘Where is this money?’” he said.
A Campaign Marred by Excess
Morgan highlighted what he called a “terrible” campaign, riddled with overspending and misplaced priorities. “If you don’t run the ads, the buyer doesn’t get paid,” he said, criticizing the commissions and egos that drove up costs. By the end, the campaign’s exorbitant spending, including $494 million on advertising alone, left many questioning its strategy and execution.
“There’s a lot of whispering, there’s a lot of names of people who got paid, and a lot of people got rich on the back of donors trying to stop Trump,” Morgan revealed, sharing insider observations from a White House dinner.
Despite Harris’ strong performance in the debate against Trump, Morgan said he had always doubted her viability as a candidate. “I told everybody she should not have been the nominee, she was not gonna win, and she didn’t win. She lost badly,” he said.
Fallout and Political Isolation
Morgan’s frustration extended beyond Harris to the Democratic Party’s decision-making process. He criticized the party for sidelining democracy by nominating Harris without a primary vote.
Even within the Democratic establishment, Harris faced resistance. According to Morgan, influential figures like former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were hesitant to back her candidacy. Morgan claimed that Biden’s endorsement of Harris was less about support and more about defiance.
A Future in Question
As President Biden bid farewell to donors at a recent White House event, Harris was notably absent, having traveled to Hawaii. Morgan suggested this reflects a need for her to reevaluate her path forward. She needs to “figure out her life,” he said, implying that her political career may be at a crossroads.
Morgan’s sharp critique highlights widespread frustration among Democrats who feel let down by Harris’ campaign and the decisions that led to her nomination. As the dust settles, the vice president faces an uncertain political future, with many questioning whether she can regain the trust of her party and its supporters.
