Leftists are leaving their own party in droves. They’ve finally woken up to the radicalism that’s been spread by the Democrats for years.
And this Democrat reporter abandons the Democratic Party after making a wild admission about Kamala Harris.
Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith has made headlines not for his fiery sports takes but for his sharp criticism of the Democratic Party and a surprising shift in his political stance. In what he described as a moment of regret, Smith recently revealed that he no longer stands by his decision to vote for Kamala Harris, marking a significant change in his political perspective.
Speaking with Mark Levin on Fox News, Smith shared his frustrations with the Democrats, accusing them of relying on fear tactics rather than substantive plans to win elections.
“I voted Democrat, and I got to tell you something right now: I don’t like the fact that I did. I don’t like what I’m seeing,” Smith said during the Saturday interview.
Smith, who had previously admitted to never voting for a Republican, now says he is “open-minded” to giving the GOP a chance — provided they focus on real issues.
The sports analyst criticized the Democratic Party’s messaging and approach, calling it counterproductive. “I don’t want to hear about, ‘Oh, we’re about the law. Nobody’s above the law. Nobody’s above the law.’ But then you go out, and you pardon your son, and you try to blame everybody else for it,” he said, referring to controversies surrounding prominent Democrats.
Smith went further, challenging the party’s reliance on negative campaigning. He stated that he is “no longer interested in…listening to a bunch of fear-mongering to tell us who we shouldn’t vote for.” Instead, he urged the Democrats to articulate policies that inspire support. “Why don’t you come up with a plan that tells us why we should vote for you?” he asked pointedly.
For Smith, prioritizing America’s needs is not only reasonable but essential. “We’re not about America only, but being about America and prioritizing what’s going on in this nation with the desolate and the disenfranchised and everybody else in between… that is not a crime for an American politician or commander in chief or senator or congressional figure to have that mentality,” he said.
Smith also expressed openness to the GOP’s approach if they continue to focus on policy-driven campaigns. “I’m down for it. I’m open-minded enough to make sure that they entertain that from a policy perspective. That’s what I want for the American people. That’s what I want for this nation,” he explained.
In a particularly surprising moment, Smith did not rule out the possibility of supporting former President Donald Trump in the future, though he emphasized that Trump would have to meet certain standards.
“What concerned me about Donald Trump, and the reason I voted against him and voted for Kamala Harris, was because I felt that he would be divisive. That he would create chaos because he demands such a level of loyalty and fealty to him. And that would take priority over governing our nation. That was my concern,” Smith said.
However, he left the door open, noting that if Trump could prove he is focused on governing effectively and abandoning divisive behavior, he might reconsider.
“It can’t be just about fealty to him and loyalty to him. It has to be about getting the job done on behalf of what’s in the best interests of the American people as opposed to yourself,” Smith stated.
He added that Trump would also need to rise above “juvenile tendencies” such as incessant tweeting and engaging in petty squabbles.
“You do things like that, and you show that you’re the adult in the room; I don’t think anybody could dismiss Donald Trump at this particular moment in time,” Smith concluded.
While Smith’s statements suggest a willingness to break from his voting history, it remains to be seen whether he will act on this newfound openness. After all, Smith himself admitted he has never voted for a Republican before — a precedent that might prove hard to overturn.

Sounds like Stephen A. Smith has some regrets! At least he’s finally awake and admitting this… “The American people aren’t falling for it any longer. I voted Democrat, and I have to tell you something right now: I don’t like the fact that I did…”
