Democrats are tired of Joe Biden. They’re turning on him like he never mattered.

That’s why Biden got kicked in the arse on his way out of the White House by a backstabbing Democrat.

Former Democrat and Military Veteran Explains Why She Left the Democratic Party Due to Disrespect from Biden

A former Democrat and U.S. military veteran shared her reasons for leaving the Democratic Party during an appearance on Fox Business Thursday. Jessica Dominguez, who served in the military, expressed her disillusionment with President Joe Biden’s leadership, citing what she called “disrespect” shown to both service members and the country.

Dominguez’s decision to part ways with the Democratic Party came in the aftermath of the chaotic and deadly withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan in August 2021. The Biden administration’s handling of the withdrawal, which saw a rapid collapse of the Afghan government and the tragic deaths of 13 U.S. service members at Kabul airport, became a focal point for widespread criticism. Dominguez recalled a moment that particularly troubled her: Biden’s apparent lack of respect during the return of fallen soldiers.

“He was looking at his watch when my brothers and sisters in arms had passed away in Afghanistan during the absolute trashed debacle they had. And I just, I couldn’t stop imagining him doing that,” Dominguez said, referring to Biden’s behavior during a solemn ceremony honoring the fallen.

For Dominguez, the moment was emblematic of a larger pattern of what she described as a failure to properly honor the military and the sacrifices made by U.S. service members. Dominguez, who was born in Mexico and chose to serve the country she now calls home, expressed deep frustration with the Biden administration’s treatment of veterans and military personnel.

“It’s a disgrace what he’s done to this country. It’s a disgrace what he’s done to our service members, service members like myself, who love this country, who came from another country,” Dominguez remarked. She also referenced the heavy-handed approach the administration took in mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for military personnel, noting that many service members, including herself, were reprimanded or discharged for refusing the vaccine.

Dominguez’s disillusionment extended beyond the handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. The perceived lack of respect for both service members and the American people, compounded by what she described as systemic failures within the administration, left her with “a very sour taste” regarding Biden’s leadership.

Despite her frustrations with the current administration, Dominguez did not express despair for the future. Instead, she looked forward to what she views as a promising return to leadership under former President Donald Trump. Dominguez expressed optimism about Trump’s leadership, believing that his approach would be more in line with her values and priorities. She is hopeful about his potential return to the White House, particularly after what she sees as the missteps of Biden’s presidency.

The chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan marked a turning point for many who had supported the Democratic Party and Biden’s campaign. In 2020, under the Trump administration, the U.S. had negotiated a deal with the Taliban to reduce the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan. The agreement outlined strict conditions, including the prevention of terrorist activities by the Taliban. However, when Biden took office, the final withdrawal of U.S. forces was marred by unexpected turmoil, including the deadly attack on U.S. personnel at Kabul airport.

Biden faced significant backlash for his handling of the situation. He denied accusations that his military advisors had recommended maintaining a 2,500-strong U.S. presence in Afghanistan, despite conflicting reports. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had, at one point, confirmed that military leaders did indeed suggest such a strategy. However, Biden remained firm in his stance that no such recommendation was made.

Dominguez’s story emphasizes the deep divisions within the country regarding the handling of foreign policy, military leadership, and the treatment of service members. For her, the combination of disrespect from the president and perceived failures within the government led her to leave the Democratic Party — a party she had once supported — but it also gave her renewed faith in a different vision of leadership.
