The curtains are being peeled back on the Biden era. It’s insane what is being found.
And an Obama official surprised everyone with this Biden confession on Fox News.
A former Department of Homeland Security official who served under former President Barack Obama has voiced strong criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) involved in migrant resettlement. Appearing on Fox News Wednesday, Charles Marino accused the Biden administration of enabling these NGOs to play a key role in facilitating the entry of illegal migrants into the United States, a claim that he says deserves urgent attention and action.
Marino, speaking on The Ingraham Angle, described the NGOs as central players in “the largest human trafficking operation” in the country, blaming them for not only helping illegal migrants enter the U.S. but also for their role in the disappearance of unaccompanied minors. He pointed out that more than 350,000 unaccompanied minors have gone missing in the past few years, allegedly assisted by these organizations.
“There should be outrage here, not only from the American people, but by Congress,” Marino said. “There needs to be an investigation forthwith to bring these CEOs to Congress and find out exactly what was going on. But for the American taxpayer to have to send billions of dollars to these NGOs to facilitate the entry of illegals into this country to include criminals and terrorists is unacceptable.”
Marino went further, suggesting that these NGOs may even be collaborating with Mexican cartels. He indicated that the organizations could have been operating under the influence or direct request of the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He raised the concern that, in doing so, they may have unwittingly or knowingly been serving the interests of criminal cartels.
“What they need to know is the role that they’ve been playing the past four years at the request of the Biden administration, specifically with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services,” Marino said. “They may have been working directly for the Mexican cartels.”
Trump Administration Ushers In Reform To Cut Off Wasteful Federal Funding
In response to concerns about NGOs facilitating illegal immigration, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the issue during her inaugural briefing on Tuesday. A question from the Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese about whether President Donald Trump intended to permanently cut funding for such organizations led to an affirmative answer from Leavitt. She referred to an executive order signed by Trump that sought to tackle the involvement of NGOs in illegal migration.
The issue of NGOs and their role in resettling illegal migrants has been an ongoing point of contention. In June 2023, NewsNation reported that charities and religious nonprofits, such as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, were actively assisting illegal migrants in cities like New York. This group, among others, received significant government funding, including over $93.1 million in grants in 2021. This amount accounted for approximately 80% of their total funding, raising concerns about the extent of government support for organizations linked to illegal migration efforts.
In a related move, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced recently that the Department of Homeland Security would halt grant funding to NGOs found to be misusing their resources to assist in illegal migration. This decision follows mounting scrutiny over the role of NGOs in the border crisis.
Further investigations have revealed a rising trend in federal spending on grants, loans, and contracts related to immigration. Sources informed the Daily Caller that, under the Biden-Harris administration, certain NGOs were working closely with government agencies to help resettle migrants in the U.S. The USA Spending database, which tracks federal expenditures, shows a notable increase in financial outlays linked to the word “immigrant” since 2020.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says the Trump administration has cut funding to NGOs such as Catholic Charities who have been bringing in illegals to the country.
