Democrats are taking their hits. Bad news keeps coming their way.

And Megyn Kelly is grinning ear to ear after this Leftist MSNBC host was fired.

Megyn Kelly, a conservative radio show host, didn’t shed many tears for Joy Reid, the Leftist MSNBC host whose show was canceled this past weekend as part of a lineup reshuffle orchestrated by her boss Rebecca Kutler. The decision marks the end of Reid’s primetime program The ReidOut.

Kelly, the SiriusXM host of The Megyn Kelly Show, didn’t hold back her reaction. “Remember when Joy Reid laughingly mocked ‘white women tears’ as pathetic and offensive to her? Who’s crying now, Joy?” Kelly posted on her X account after hearing about Reid’s firing.

She added, “Good riddance to the absolute worst person on television, and shame on NBC for letting it go on this long.”

Reid has long been a polarizing figure, stirring strong reactions with her commentary. During the 2021 trial of Kyle Rittenhouse — who was acquitted after fatally shooting two people during Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin — Reid sparked outrage by mocking his emotional courtroom testimony. She compared Rittenhouse’s tears to those of Brett Kavanaugh, who became visibly emotional in 2018 while defending himself against s*xual assault allegations during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

In a TikTok video at the time, Reid suggested both Rittenhouse and Kavanaugh used emotion as a weapon. She stated that Kavanaugh “cried his way through the hearings to make him a permanent member” of the Supreme Court, adding that “his tears turned out to be more powerful than the tears of [accuser] Christine Blasey Ford. Which were the tears of an alleged victim.”

Reid further commented on what she saw as a pattern, saying, “But in America, there’s a thing about both white vigilantism and white tears, particularly male white tears,” before adding, “Really, white tears in general, because that’s what Karens are, right? They Karen out, and then as soon as they get caught, it’s bring the waterworks.” She concluded, “white men can get away with that too. And it has the same effect, even as the right tries to politicize the idea that masculinity is being robbed from American men by multiculturalism and wokeism. They still want to be able to have their tears.”

Reid’s commentary continued to ignite controversy following the Nov. 5 election, when she took aim at white Democrats. As it became clear that Donald Trump had defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, Reid blamed the outcome on what she described as a lack of support from white women voters. “Black voters came through for Kamala Harris. White women voters did not,” she declared during MSNBC’s election night coverage.

Reflecting on North Carolina’s win for Trump, Reid remarked that women in the state “lost their reproductive rights” when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, yet she argued that “that message obviously was not enough to get enough white women to vote for Vice President Harris, a fellow woman.”

She went on to say, “This will be the second opportunity that white women in this country have to change the way that they interact with the patriarchy,” referencing Harris’ loss in 2024 and Hillary Clinton’s defeat in 2016.

Meanwhile, Trump didn’t miss the opportunity to weigh in on Reid’s exit. Taking to Truth Social, he celebrated MSNBC’s decision, calling the network “MSDNC” and accusing it of being “nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democratic party.”

Trump took direct aim at Reid, writing, “Lowlife Chairman of ‘Concast,’ Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenge NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid.”

He added, “Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been ‘canned’ long ago, along with everyone else who works there.”

Reid, a known critic of Trump and a prominent voice in mainstream media, has been with MSNBC since 2011. However, her show’s ratings have sharply declined since Trump’s re-election late last year.

The ReidOut will air its final episode this week. Reports from the New York Times indicate that it will be replaced by a new panel show featuring Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders Townsend as co-hosts.

As for conservatives like Megyn Kelly, Reid’s absence from cable news will be a welcome sight.
