The Democrat dam is breaking. The whole Party is falling apart at the seams.
Because the U.S. Senate Majority Leader drops huge news on Megyn Kelly’s show.
Georgia Representative Calls on Senators to Support Legislation Protecting Women’s Sports
Republican Representative Buddy Carter of Georgia is urging the state’s two Democratic senators, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, to support a bill aimed at keeping biological males out of girls’ and women’s sports. Carter’s call comes as the Senate prepares to vote on the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, a piece of legislation that seeks to prohibit biological male athletes from participating in female-designated athletic events.
The bill, spearheaded by Republican lawmakers, has been making its way through the legislative process, with Senate Majority Leader John Thune preparing to bring it to a vote, Megyn Kelly first learned and shared on her SiriusXM show. The bill has already passed the House largely along party lines, with 206 Democratic lawmakers voting against it in January. However, in the Senate, it will need support from at least seven Democrats to overcome the chamber’s 60-vote legislative threshold. All GOP senators are expected to back the bill, but the legislation’s success hinges on bipartisan support.
Carter, in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation, expressed his belief that the bill has widespread support among Georgia residents and urged Senators Ossoff and Warnock to lend their support. “All women and girls deserve a fair opportunity to achieve athletic excellence,” Carter stated. “I am calling on Senators Warnock and Ossoff to stand with the people of Georgia and protect female athletes by supporting the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.” His comments reflect a strong stance in favor of ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for female athletes.
Recent polling indicates that a significant portion of Georgia’s electorate supports restrictions on biological males in women’s sports. A January poll conducted by the Tyson Group, which surveyed 600 Georgia residents, found that 73% of likely voters in the state are in favor of banning biological males from participating in girls’ sports.
This sentiment is mirrored at the national level, where a New York Times-Ipsos survey conducted in January revealed that nearly 80% of Americans oppose allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports. Even among Democratic voters or those who lean Democratic, about 70% expressed opposition to transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.
The bill’s sponsor, Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, has been actively lobbying for its consideration and urged Thune to bring it to the Senate floor. Thune’s office confirmed that the majority leader plans to file cloture on the bill, with a procedural vote expected as soon as Monday.
For Ossoff, this vote could have political implications beyond the issue of women’s sports. As he is widely considered one of the most vulnerable Democratic incumbents running for reelection in 2026, his decision on this legislation could have consequences for his political future. Georgia has become a key battleground in national politics, with Republicans gaining significant ground in recent years. In the 2024 presidential race, Donald Trump outperformed then-Vice President Kamala Harris in Georgia, signaling a potentially challenging environment for Ossoff in his upcoming reelection bid.
🚨 BREAKING: @HouseGOP has passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, ensuring that women and girls have fair opportunities to achieve excellence in athletics.
I hope GA Senators Ossoff & Warnock have the sense to do the same. pic.twitter.com/ePpLnZmAjj

As the Senate prepares to take up the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, all eyes are on Senators Ossoff and Warnock to see whether they will align with their party or heed calls from Georgia’s Republican leadership and constituents in support of the bill.
On a national level, it’s abundantly clear that the American people generally believe that biological men should only be allowed to compete in sports for biological men. A recent New York Times poll found that even a majority of Democrat voters, nearly 70%, believe that transgender “women” shouldn’t be allowed to compete against biological women in any sports.
Also, during the 2024 election, Donald Trump’s ads hitting on the transgender issue ended up the most effective ads in swing states. A Washington Post exit survey in key swing states like Pennsylvania found that Donald Trump’s “Kamala’s For They/Them, Donald Trump Is For You” ad was the most effective ad from the cycle in converting undecided voters.
The tagline for this Trump ad is brilliant. 🤣
