The Bidens are bitter and angry over how they fell from grace. Now they are lashing out.

And a Biden family lawyer just took a wild move against President Trump.

Biden’s Legal Crony Launches Anti-Trump Crusade

Hunter Biden’s former attorney, Abbe Lowell, has emerged from the shadows of the Biden family’s legal quagmire to launch a new firm aimed at thwarting the Trump administration. According to CBS News, Lowell and Associates will position itself as a defender of those “unlawfully and inappropriately targeted” by the administration, as well as entities facing litigation over the revocation of grant funding by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The move reeks of political posturing, with Lowell leveraging his ties to the Bidens to rally opposition against Trump, all while cloaking his efforts in the guise of legal righteousness.

Lowell’s client list reads like a who’s who of controversy, and his latest venture seems less about justice and more about settling scores. Currently, he’s representing New York Attorney General Letitia James, who faces scrutiny after the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) referred her to the Department of Justice in April. The referral cites a White Collar Fraud report suggesting James may have committed mortgage fraud—a serious accusation that Lowell dismisses as political retribution. This aligns neatly with the Biden family’s playbook: deflect, deny, and accuse the accuser of playing dirty.

In an April 24 letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Lowell didn’t hold back. “The stunning hypocrisy of President Trump’s complaint that the Justice Department had been ‘politicized’ and ‘weaponized’ against him is laid bare as he and others in his Administration are now asking you to undertake the very same practice,” he wrote. The irony is palpable—Lowell, who has navigated the Biden family’s legal scandals, now casts himself as a champion against politicized justice. His indignation seems selective, given his silence when the Biden administration faced similar accusations of weaponizing federal agencies.

Lowell’s firm is attracting a cadre of attorneys disillusioned with their former employers’ dealings with the Trump administration. Among them are Brenna Trout Frey and Rachel Cohen, who parted ways with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP after the firm agreed to provide $100 million in pro bono services to the government, as reported by Politico. Their defection suggests a growing schism in the legal world, with Lowell’s firm positioning itself as a haven for those eager to challenge Trump’s agenda. But this also raises questions about Lowell’s motives—does he seek to uphold the law, or is he building a coalition to protect the Biden family’s allies?

Rachel Cohen, now Strategic & External Affairs Coordinator for Lowell’s firm, took to LinkedIn to justify her move. “There is urgent need for lawyers to take on representation that runs counter to Executive wishes and actions,” she wrote. “Zealous representation is a foundational element of our legal system, and how we ensure the government doesn’t overstep its authority, no matter who is in charge.” Her words sound noble, but they conveniently align with the interests of Lowell’s high-profile clients, many of whom have ties to the Democratic establishment. The firm’s mission feels less like a defense of principle and more like a strategic counteroffensive.

Brenna Trout Frey was even more scathing in her critique of her former employer. In a LinkedIn post last month, she accused Skadden Arps of “capitulating to the Trump administration’s demands for fealty and protection money.” She added, “There is only one acceptable response from attorneys to the Trump administration’s demands: The rule of law matters. As an attorney, if my employer cannot stand up for the rule of law, then I cannot ethically continue to work for them.” Frey’s rhetoric is fiery, but her decision to join Lowell—a lawyer who has defended Hunter Biden in tax fraud and gun cases—suggests her commitment to the “rule of law” may be selective.

Lowell’s history with the Biden family casts a long shadow over his new endeavor. His representation of Hunter Biden, a figure mired in allegations of corruption and legal violations, raises doubts about the impartiality of his firm’s mission. The Biden family has long been accused of using legal and political connections to shield themselves from accountability, and Lowell’s latest move appears to extend that pattern. By framing his firm as a bulwark against Trump’s alleged abuses, Lowell deflects attention from the Biden family’s own questionable conduct.

Beyond Hunter Biden, Lowell’s client roster includes Jared Kushner and former Democratic New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez, a mix that showcases his knack for navigating politically charged cases. His ability to represent figures across the political spectrum might suggest versatility, but it also hints at opportunism. Lowell’s firm seems less like a principled stand against injustice and more like a calculated effort to protect the interests of powerful clients, many of whom share ties to the Biden network.

The timing of Lowell’s firm launch is telling. With the Trump administration pushing aggressive policies through DOGE and other channels, the Biden camp appears to be regrouping. Lowell’s firm could serve as a legal battering ram, challenging Trump’s initiatives while shielding Biden allies like Letitia James from federal scrutiny. The firm’s focus on grant funding disputes further suggests a targeted effort to counter Trump’s cost-cutting measures, which have already sparked outrage among Democratic-leaning organizations.

As Lowell and Associates takes shape, its true purpose remains murky. Is it a genuine effort to protect the vulnerable from an overreaching administration, or is it a front for the Biden family’s political vendetta? Given Lowell’s track record and his deep ties to the Bidens, skepticism is warranted. His firm may wrap itself in the flag of justice, but its roots lie in a family that has repeatedly dodged accountability while crying foul.
