Harris is out of politics for now. But that doesn’t mean she still isn’t spewing her Leftist opinions for all to hear.
And Kamala Harris was torn to pieces over this horrendous statement to the American people.
Kamala Harris Faces Fierce Criticism Over Los Angeles Anti-ICE Riots Statement
Former Vice President Kamala Harris sparked a firestorm of criticism from conservative voices after releasing a statement on the recent anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, attributing the chaos to the Trump administration while describing the protests as “overwhelmingly peaceful.” The remarks, posted on X on Sunday, came amid days of unrest in the city driven by opposition to federal immigration enforcement actions.
“Los Angeles is my home,” Harris wrote, addressing the riots that erupted following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations targeting illegal aliens. “And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.”
Harris further claimed that the Trump administration’s actions were not about “public safety” but rather “stoking fear.” She defended the protests, stating, “Protest is a powerful tool — essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful. I continue to support the millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms.”

Her comments drew swift and sharp rebukes from conservatives and Trump administration officials. Fox News contributor Guy Benson posted on X, “The country really dodged a bullet in November,” later adding, “Their official position is that they’re appalled by what’s happening in Los Angeles…because of Trump and ICE, not the violent rioters. In its current form, this party cannot be salvaged.”
Fellow Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich echoed the sentiment, writing, “Thank you, America, for employing brain cells and rejecting this woman’s quest to become president of the United States.” The conservative account LibsofTikTok countered Harris’ “mostly peaceful” characterization by sharing images of rioters setting cars ablaze and clashing with police.
GOP Senator Tom Cotton also weighed in, stating, “No surprise[sic] that the most incompetent Vice President in history stands with the illegal alien rioters.” White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields posted an image highlighting President Trump’s electoral gains in November 2024, captioning it, “America’s statement.” Leo Terrell, Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, bluntly remarked, “No one is interested in your opinion.”
California GOP gubernatorial candidate and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco criticized Harris’ stance, writing, “President Trump didn’t start these riots. He’s not out there lighting cars on fire, hurling projectiles at law enforcement or blocking freeways. This statement is an embarrassment and does nothing to diffuse the violent riots taking place across the city.” He added, “The Democrats and their ‘leaders’ own this.”
Steve Hilton, another Fox News contributor and Republican candidate for California governor, accused Harris of “siding with violent criminals over California communities; rioters over law enforcement; illegal immigrants over legal immigrants and American citizens,” calling her a “pandering machine politician who should never hold public office again.”
White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital, “Everyone already knows that Kamala Harris supports violent criminal illegal aliens — that’s why the American people resoundingly rejected her in November. Harris’s tenure as Vice President was defined by one humiliating failure after another, including overseeing the invasion of tens of millions of illegal immigrants as Biden’s Border Czar, that President Trump is now cleaning up. Harris should stop embarrassing herself by pretending anyone cares about her opinion and slink back into irrelevancy where she belongs.”
The unrest in Los Angeles began when ICE launched operations to detain illegal immigrants, prompting violent protests in the self-proclaimed “sanctuary” city, a status it adopted in November 2024 before Trump’s second inauguration. ‘
The riots saw ICE agents targeted with rocks, projectiles, and graffiti inciting violence. U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks shared an image of an agent’s bloodied hand, injured by a rock that shattered a windshield, noting that several officers faced life-threatening attacks.
ICE reported that Friday’s raids targeted the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens, including m*rderers and s*x offenders, with 45 arrests made across locations like Home Depot stores, a fashion district shop, and a doughnut shop.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin questioned the priorities of local leaders, asking, “Why do Governor Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass care more about violent m*rderers and s*x offenders than they do about protecting their own citizens? These rioters in Los Angeles are fighting to keep r*pists, m*rderers, and other violent criminals loose on Los Angeles streets. Instead of rioting, they should be thanking ICE officers every single day who wake up and make our communities safer.”
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom both criticized the ICE operations. Bass issued a statement supporting the city’s illegal immigrants, while Newsom called the raids “chaotic and reckless,” arguing, “Continued chaotic federal sweeps, across California, to meet an arbitrary arrest quota are as reckless as they are cruel. Donald Trump’s chaos is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and undermining the workers and industries that power America’s economy.”
President Trump responded to the riots by deploying 2,000 National Guard troops to restore order, a move that drew further criticism from Democratic leaders.
